Chargers HC Jim Harbaugh told reporters he experienced an “atrial flutter” early in the Chargers’ Week 6 win over the Broncos.
Harbaugh mentions he had another one during a Monday Night Football game against the 49ers, joking that he is “2-0 with arrhythmias.” Harbaugh appears to be in normal health post-game. He should be good to go for Week 7.

Jim Harbaugh (illness) returned to the sidelines for Week 6 against the Broncos.
Harbaugh returned, walking under his own power. He appears to be okay for now and will hopefully remain well for the rest of the game. Update: The broadcast tells viewers Harbaugh is dealing with arrhythmia, or an irregular heartbeat. It sounds like this is an issue Harbaugh has managed for some time.

Chargers HC Jim Harbaugh (illness) exited Week 6 against the Broncos.
Update: Harbaugh is evidently dealing with an illness and is questionable to return. The reason for Harbaugh’s departure is unknown but he was escorted away by multiple members of the Chargers’ training staff. He walked away under his own power. Hopefully, it is a non-issue and he is able to return to the sidelines safely. We will report back as soon as possible.

The Chargers will host the Ravens on Monday Night Football in Week 12.
The Monday Night matchup for Week 12 will feature the Harbaugh brothers facing off for the first time since Jim Harbaugh signed on to coach the Chargers this offseason. Jim and John famously coached against each other in Super Bowl XLVII, with John and the Ravens coming out on top over Jim and the 49ers. This Chargers team has a heavy Ravens influence, with former Ravens exec Joe Hortiz now the Chargers’ general manager. Reigning MVP Lamar Jackson will look to keep the Ravens contending while Justin Herbert will quarterback a changed Chargers offense in the latest iteration of the “HarBowl”.

Bleacher Report’s Jordan Schultz reports the Chargers are “content staying put” at No. 5 overall and would “likely” take an offensive tackle.
Per Schultz, the Chargers have explored trading back. With three quarterbacks expected to start the draft and Marvin Harrison Jr. possibly landing in Arizona, the Chargers are likely looking at a choice between offensive tackle Joe Alt and wide receiver Malik Nabers if they don’t move down. Alt is a cornerstone left tackle, but the Chargers would start him at right tackle with Rashawn Slater handling the left tackle duties. Having those two bookending the line would be an enticing idea for Jim Harbaugh and his run-first offense. On the other hand, Josh Palmer is currently in line to be the team’s top receiver in 2024.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports Jim Harbaugh is set to leave Michigan to accept the Chargers’ head coaching job on a five-year deal.
The Chargers have finally locked in Jim Harbaugh after holding a second interview with him. Harbaugh was scheduled to interview with the Falcons for a second time, but the Chargers did not let him leave and he is now departing the National Champion Michigan Wolverines to return to the NFL. Harbaugh previously coached the 49ers, leading them to a Super Bowl appearance in four seasons with the team. He now returns to the NFL ranks to coach Justin Herbert and a Chargers team that disappointed expectations in 2023. Michigan, meanwhile, has a head coaching vacancy just weeks after winning the National Championship.

NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo reports a deal for Jim Harbaugh to become Chargers head coach is within “striking distance.”
The Chargers, per Garafolo, made an “extremely strong offer” to Harbaugh, who appears ready to move on from Michigan. “It feels like Harbaugh has his eyes locked on the NFL,” he said. Harbaugh, a former 49ers head coach, is reportedly discussing staffing decisions with the Chargers. He appears locked in as LA’s next head coach after a disappointing run with Brandon Staley at the helm.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports the Chargers will have a second interview with Jim Harbaugh for their head coaching vacancy.
Harbaugh also has a second interview scheduled with the Falcons. The Chargers and Falcons seem to be the two most interested teams in his services, but Harbaugh could also opt to return to Michigan on what is sure to be a lucrative contract extension. The long-time head coach has long flirted with a return to the NFL but has never fully committed to a return. With a national championship now under his belt, it’s possible Harbaugh returns to the league in hopes of conquering the professional ranks.

NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reports the Falcons have scheduled a second interview with Jim Harbaugh for their head coaching vacancy.
Harbaugh met with the Falcons on Tuesday and will be back for more talks with owner Arthur Blank and general manager Terry Fontenot soon. It was previously reported that Bill Belichick to Atlanta was nearly a done deal, but the Falcons are clearly doing their due diligence with all candidates. Harbaugh has also completed an interview with the Chargers while the Commanders reportedly have interest as well.

The Atlanta Falcons announced that they completed an interview with Jim Harbaugh for their head coaching vacancy.
Harbaugh completed his second interview of the head coaching cycle, meeting with the Falcons a day after meeting with the Chargers. The Michigan head coach has seen interest from NFL teams, winning the National Championship this year after signing with the Wolverines in 2015. In the NFL, he previously coached the 49ers from 2011-2014, leading them to a Super Bowl XLVII appearance during his time. Harbaugh is expected to continue to receive major interest during this coaching cycle, while the Falcons continue their aggressive pursuit of coaching candidates, interviewing former Patriots head coach Bill Belichick on Monday.
