Giants RG Chris Snee (concussion) has been released from the hospital.
As has LS Zak DeOssie (concussion). Snee has been “sent home to rest.” The three-time Pro Bowler will likely miss his first game since 2004 when the Giants host the Bills this weekend. The Giants’ running game could take a hit. Jim Cordle, signed off the practice squad just six days ago, is in line to start.

Giants signed C Jim Cordle from their practice squad.
Cordle is getting the call for depth purposes with David Baas nursing a stinger injury this week. Per the New York Daily News, Baas’ is in doubt for this week, but the injury is not believed to be long-term.
  • FA Linebacker #47
Giants re-signed exclusive rights free agents DE Adrian Tracy and OL Jim Cordle.
Tracy, a 2010 sixth-rounder, was converted from linebacker to defensive end last season, but played just 70 snaps. He’s been mentioned as someone to keep an eye on this summer in the defensive end rotation with Osi Umenyiora on his way out. Cordle appeared in all 16 games, playing mainly on special teams.
  • FA Center #63
Giants re-signed exclusive rights free agent C/G Jim Cordle to a one-year, $555,000 contract.
Cordle, 25, appeared in all 16 games last season, playing 49 snaps on offense as a reserve lineman. He figures to back up David Baas at center again in 2013.
  • FA Center #63
Jim Cordle is now getting a chance to replace David Baas (knee) at center.
The Giants originally moved Kevin Boothe to center and inserted Justin Pugh at right tackle. But now that David Diehl (thumb) is out six weeks, the line looks like this: LT Will Beatty, LG Boothe, C Cordle, RG Chris Snee and RT Pugh. There’s enough talent here for this unit to hold its own until Diehl and Baas return.
  • FA Center #63
Giants C Jim Cordle has been diagnosed with a “partially” torn patellar tendon in his left knee.
Per beat writer Ralph Vacchiano, Cordle will be re-evaluated on Thursday. It’s “possible” Cordle won’t miss any time, but it would be surprising if he suited up for Week 13.
  • FA Center #63
Giants C Jim Cordle sustained a knee injury during Sunday’s Week 12 loss to the Cowboys and did not return.
Cordle said his injury is “definitely not an ACL,” but he will have an MRI Monday. It’s bad timing for the Giants as their offensive line has come together in recent weeks after a horrid start.
  • FA Center #63
The Giants will not tender C Jim Cordle as a restricted free agent.
Cordle will become an unrestricted free agent that the Giants could possibly re-sign at a lower rate. He’ll have to prove he’s recovered from his partially torn left patella tendon first. Meanwhile, the Giants will be working to completely overhaul an offensive line that has question marks across the board.
  • FA Center #63
Giants placed C Jim Cordle on injured reserve with a partially torn left patella tendon, ending his season.
OG Stephen Goodin was promoted from the practice squad in a corresponding roster move. Cordle was already filling in for David Baas. Now the G-Men will likely shift LG Kevin Boothe to center, and stick James Brewer at left guard. That’s what they did in Sunday’s loss to the Cowboys. Cordle wasn’t playing well, grading out as a bottom-eight center in Pro Football Focus’ ratings. The fourth-year undrafted free agent will be a restricted free agent in the offseason.
  • FA Center #64
Giants placed C David Baas on injured reserve with a knee injury, ending his season.
Baas returned from a neck injury Monday night but injured his knee on the opening drive against the Vikings. The New York Daily News reported Baas re-injured his MCL, which gave him fits during the summer. Jim Cordle will handle center duties for the remainder of the season. Baas has two years left on his deal. He’s missed 18 games in three seasons with the team.
