Jerheme Urban will sit out a few weeks of practice with a foot injury.
Seattle doesn’t need him with Koren Robinson returning this week.
  • FA Wide Receiver
Seahawks signed WR Jerheme Urban to one-year contract.
Urban caught six passes and a TD before hitting the IR last season. He’s got a big frame and could compete for the No. 3 receiver role if the Seahawks lose a couple receivers this offseason.
  • FA Wide Receiver
    Seahawks released WR Jerheme Urban.
Urban has skills but couldn’t stay healthy during his tenure in Seattle.
  • FA Wide Receiver
Seahawks signed WR Jerheme Urban to the practice squad.
This move was expected after Urban cleared waivers.
  • FA Wide Receiver
Jerheme Urban caught two passes for 28 yards and a touchdown in Kansas City’s Week 14 loss to the Jets.
The two catches double Urban’s season total after he ran as a starter for much of training camp. Although Urban’s touchdown was a hard fought grab in traffic, consider today a fluke for a player who has been active just six times this year.
  • FA Wide Receiver
Seahawks waived wide receiver Jerheme Urban.
He’ll be added to the practice squad if he clears waivers.
  • FA Wide Receiver
Chiefs declared WR Jerheme Urban, QB Ricky Stanzi, CB Javier Arenas, S Jon McGraw, OL Steve Maneri, DE Brandon Bair, and NT Jerrell Powe inactive for Week 9 against the Dolphins.
Arenas’ absence is a blow to Kansas City’s nickel package. The Chiefs may use Travis Daniels as their third cornerback now, between Brandon Flowers and Brandon Carr. Urban has been a healthy scratch since early in the season.
  • FA Wide Receiver
Free agent WR Jerheme Urban worked out for the Titans on Tuesday.
Per ESPN’s Chris Mortensen, the tryout went well. Mort also passed along that Mike Sims-Walker’s Titans workout was “not so good.” With the Titans intent on adding veteran insurance for Kenny Britt, Urban looks more likely to get a call.
  • FA Running Back #33
Josh Looney of the Chiefs’ official web site believes that Jerheme Urban and Dexter McCluster will share third receiver duties this season.
Looney reiterates that the Chiefs are high on Urban, even after drafting McCluster 36th overall. The bottom line here is that the slot job won’t be a high-production spot in this Chiefs’ offense, but it’s worth monitoring the battle in camp to see if McCluster can separate himself.
  • FA Wide Receiver
Wideout Jerheme Urban (foot) and DT Marcus Tubbs (ankle) are listed as out for this weekend.
Neither young player is a major factor the Seahawks.
