Buck Allen rushed once for four yards in the Giants’ Week 13 loss to the Packers.
Allen briefly spelled Saquon Barkley for a series in the first half. He doesn’t possess anything resembling standalone value. The bigger takeaway is that Wayne Gallman no longer seems to be locked in as Barkley’s clear-cut handcuff. Neither Allen nor Gallman are worthy of a bench spot entering the fantasy playoffs.

    Giants signed RB Buck Allen.
The Giants waived Jon Hilliman in a corresponding roster move. Allen figures to work as Saquon Barkley’s backup for the team’s Week 7 matchup against the Cardinals if Wayne Gallman (concussion) remains sidelined.

Saints placed RB Buck Allen on injured reserve.
Allen had not practiced to this point in camp because of an undisclosed injury. His spot on the roster was taken by Rob Kelley. It is likely Allen is released with an injury settlement at some point.

Larry Holder of The Athletic left Javorius Allen off his Saints roster projection.
Allen only joined the Saints a month ago, but Holder feels his stint in the Big Easy could be a short one. He only projected three backs to make the Saints’ final roster (Alvin Kamara, Latavius Murray and Dwayne Washington), a number that stretches to four if you include fullback Zach Line. Even if Allen cracks the 53-man roster, he’ll just be fighting for scraps behind Alvin Kamara and power-back Latavius Murray.

Saints signed RB Javorius Allen, formerly of the Ravens.
The signing comes five days after Allen visited New Orleans. Coming off a truly dreadful year in Baltimore, Allen can stay on the field for all three downs and has caught at least 35 passes three of the past four seasons. Latavius Murray should serve as Alvin Kamara’s direct backup, but Allen would be first in line to catch passes were Kamara to go down. That’s if he makes the 53-man roster.

Free agent RB Javorius Allen worked out for the Saints on Thursday.
It is the first we’ve heard of Allen since the Ravens let his contract expire. The Saints also worked out Fozzy Whittaker and Rob Kelley. Coming off a terrible year for the Ravens, Allen would be unlikely to push Latavius Murray for No. 2 status.

Javorius Allen did not record an offensive stat in the Ravens’ Wild Card loss to the Chargers.
Allen was actually active for this game, unlike late in the season, but he did not touch the ball. Allen opened his season with four touchdowns in three games and was momentarily a big part of the offense, but ineffectiveness eventually forced him out of the lineup. He did not record a touch after Week 12. An unrestricted free agent, Allen will almost certainly be playing somewhere else in 2019.

Ravens declared RB Buck Allen, QB Robert Griffin III, FB Patrick Ricard, WR Jordan Lasley, LG Alex Lewis, OLB Tim Williams, and DT Zach Sieler inactive for Sunday’s Week 17 game versus the Browns.
There are no surprises here as these are the exact same inactives that the Ravens had in Week 16.

Ravens declared RB Javorius Allen, QB Robert Griffin III, WR Jordan Lasley, OLB Tim Williams, OL Alex Lewis, DL Zach Sieler, and FB/DL Patrick Ricard inactive for Week 16 against the Chargers.
Ty Montgomery was healthy scratched last week, but that designation will fall to Allen in Week 16. Montgomery figures to be involved seldom behind Gus Edwards and Kenneth Dixon. Ravens will also utilize a rotation of James Hurst and Bradley Bozeman sans starting LG Alex Lewis.

Javorius Allen rushed once for two yards Sunday in Baltimore’s Week 12 win over the Raiders.
Even with Alex Collins (foot) absent, Allen was barely heard from, seeing the field on just one of the Ravens’ 70 offensive snaps. Allen was used extensively as a receiving back early in the year, but that role is currently being filled by newcomer Ty Montgomery. With Gus Edwards, Collins and Montgomery all working ahead of him, Allen could end up being a healthy scratch when the Ravens travel to Atlanta for Week 13.
