Colts selected Mississippi C/G Javon Patterson with the No. 246 overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft.
A utility lineman with the ability to play both guard and center, Patterson notably started every game (24) in his final two seasons at left guard for the Rebels. Given coach Frank Reich’s insistent pounding at the table to make the running game a priority this offseason, it makes sense Patterson’s body control and foot quickness landed on the Colts’ interior. He’ll compete as a reserve this upcoming year.
