  • FA Wide Receiver #89
Jason Hill missed Jaguars practice Wednesday with a hip injury.
Speaking to the Jacksonville media, Hill also unleashed a tirade on how “overhyped” the city of New York is, three days after the 10-year anniversary of September 11, 2001. He’ll be a marked man if he plays against the Jets.
  • FA Wide Receiver #89
Jason Hill led the Jaguars with five receptions for 126 yards and a touchdown against the Bengals in Week 5.
Hill’s 74-yard touchdown was the result of blown coverage. Leon Hall released him to the safety, who opted instead to cover Marcedes Lewis, leaving Hill with no defender within 15 yards. If not for that gaffe, Hill would have been close to the 30-yard average he sported coming into the game. He’s not a recommended waiver pickup.
  • FA Wide Receiver #89
    Jaguars waived WR Jason Hill.
The purge in Jacksonville continues. A starter since Week 1, Hill had scarcely been heard from in the Jaguars’ abysmal passing “attack,” registering just 25 catches for 367 yards and three touchdowns. His release should mean fourth-round pick Cecil Shorts will get an extended look as the Jaguars play out the string. Arguably one of the worst receivers in football, Hill shouldn’t be anything more than a roster filler for the team he lands with next summer.
  • FA Wide Receiver #89
Former Jaguars WR Jason Hill has cleared waivers and is free to sign with any team.
Teams aren’t knocking down Hill’s door because he was perhaps the worst starting wide receiver in the league during his time in Jacksonville. He had four drops among 53 targets, including a would-be game-winner against the Browns in Week 11. Three more of the passes intended for Hill were intercepted.
  • FA Wide Receiver #89
Broncos signed WR Jason Hill, formerly of the Jaguars.
Hill ran in the low 4.3s at 6-foot, 202 at the 2007 Combine, but he’s been a total flop as an NFL player. The receiver-depleted Jaguars were forced to release Hill last November due to a flurry of key drops and an inability to separate downfield. The Broncos would be better off if Hill didn’t make the 53.
  • FA Wide Receiver #89
Jason Hill (wrist) is active for Sunday’s game against the Texans.
Hill is averaging 3.6 catches for 69.6 yards with two touchdowns over his last three games, but we’d still avoid him in fantasy. With Blaine Gabbert showing few signs of improvement and Mike Sims-Walker (active, illness) in the fold, the plodding Hill has very little upside.
  • FA Wide Receiver #89
Jason Hill caught just one pass Sunday, but it went for a 5-yard touchdown.
Hill beat Kareem Jackson badly on a pivot route for his third touchdown in four games. Still, Hill is a mediocre talent playing with one of the worst starting quarterbacks in the league. As the Jags head into their bye, we wouldn’t bother hanging on to Hill in most formats.
  • FA Wide Receiver #89
Jason Hill caught three passes for 49 yards in the Jaguars’ Week 11 loss to the Browns.
Continuing to solidify himself as one of the worst receivers in the league, Hill let the game-winning touchdown catch go through his hands and bounce off his belly with :03 left. Hill has four catches for 54 yards, combined, in his last three games. Needless to say, he won’t be a Week 12 fantasy option against Houston.
  • FA Wide Receiver #89
Jason Hill caught three passes for 30 yards in the Jaguars’ Week 12 loss to the Texans.
Hill was most visible on a second-quarter interception by Jonathan Joseph where Hill appeared to run the wrong route. Feel free to drop Hill in fantasy leagues. He’s solidified himself as one of the worst wide receivers in football.
  • FA Wide Receiver #89
The Saints are working out free agent WR Jason Hill.
The Saints are also working out Deon Butler, and apparently looking for depth at receiver. Hill was signed by the Broncos in February, but didn’t survive camp cuts. He caught 25 passes for 367 yards and three touchdowns in Jacksonville last season.
