Donald Driver and Jarrett Boykin will see an increase in snaps if Jordy Nelson (hamstring) sits out versus the Jaguars in Week 8.
Driver appears to have the edge, as he’s seen 73 snaps to Boykin’s 15 this season. Neither player is an option outside of the deepest fantasy leagues, although Randall Cobb and James Jones should be locked into starting lineups.

Aaron Rodgers said WR Jarrett Boykin will “be a big-time player for us at some point.”
Boykin, Virginia Tech’s all-time leading receiver, went undrafted because he ran a 4.7 40-yard dash at the combine in February. He proceeded to make the Packers’ final roster and saw real snaps last week with Jordy Nelson (hamstring) and Greg Jennings (groin) both inactive. He caught his only target for a nine-yard gain.

Aaron Rodgers expects Jarrett Boykin to “get some opportunities this year” as the Packers’ fourth receiver.
This assumes Boykin beats out rookies Charles Johnson and Kevin Dorsey. Rodgers sounds confident he will. “Behind (Randall Cobb, Jordy Nelson, and James Jones), I like what Jarrett Boykin brings,” Rodgers said at OTAs. “He’s a big, physical receiver who’s going to get some opportunities.” Packers “No. 4" receivers to open the year seemingly always pop on the fantasy radar in-season.

Packers WR Jarrett Boykin (ankle) has resumed practicing.
Boykin missed last week’s game after his ankle was bent backwards late in the regular-season finale. With Jeremy Ross emerging as an alternative to Randall Cobb on returns, Boykin may be inactive for the Divisional Round game at San Francisco.
  • FA Wide Receiver #17
Packers WR Jarrett Boykin left Sunday’s Week 17 game late in the fourth quarter with an ankle injury.
Boykin was bent backwards on the tackle while making a key fourth-down catch. He got up slowly and was eventually carted to the locker room. With Randall Cobb sidelined, Boykin has been operating as the fourth receiver.
  • FA Wide Receiver #17
Jarrett Boykin has taken the lead for the Packers’ No. 4 receiver job.
Boykin has four catches for 41 yards through two preseason games while Jeremy Ross has three catches for 12 yards. Boykin been getting first-team reps with Jordy Nelson (knee) sidelined and Randall Cobb (biceps) day to day. Boykin isn’t a special talent, but anyone seeing consistent snaps with Aaron Rodgers is worth monitoring. It’s a note to file away in case Nelson and Cobb’s injuries linger.
  • FA Wide Receiver #17
Jarrett Boykin was held without a catch on three targets in Green Bay’s Week 13 loss to the Lions.
Don’t blame Boykin, who, like the rest of Green Bay’s receiver corps, never had a chance at a big day with Matt Flynn proving shockingly inept at quarterback. Flynn got off only 20 pass attempts, mustering a measly 139 yards. Showing zero threat downfield, he was blitzed with impunity, taking seven sacks. The good news for Boykin is, Aaron Rodgers (collarbone) should be back for Week 14. Boykin will remain on the WR3 radar against the Falcons.
  • FA Wide Receiver #17
Jarrett Boykin caught just two passes for eight yards in Green Bay’s Week 17 win over the Bears, but was credited with a fumble-return touchdown.
Boykin’s 15-yard touchdown was scored as a fumble recovery in the end zone, negating its potential fantasy impact. Boykin filled in admirably as the Packers’ No. 3 receiver during the absence of Randall Cobb, but will be fourth on the depth chart for the playoffs with Cobb finally back in the fold. With James Jones an impending free agent, Boykin could serve as the Packers’ No. 3 wideout in 2014 after catching 49 passes for 681 yards and three touchdowns this season. He has legit playmaking ability.
  • FA Wide Receiver #17
Jarrett Boykin was limited to two catches for 23 yards in the Packers’ Week 14 win over the Falcons.
Jordy Nelson, Andrew Quarless, and Eddie Lacy were all bigger parts of the passing attack than third wideout Boykin, who has finally hit a slump after an unlikely hot run around midseason. Even if Aaron Rodgers (collarbone) returns in Week 15, Boykin will be a low-end WR3 option against the Cowboys.
  • FA Wide Receiver #17
Jarrett Boykin caught six passes for 83 yards in Green Bay’s Week 15 win over the Cowboys.
Boykin came alive with the rest of the Packers’ offense in the second half, where he made four of his six grabs, adding some nice yardage after the catch. Boykin has been extremely hit-or-miss with Matt Flynn under center, but would be back in the WR3 conversation if Aaron Rodgers were to get cleared for Week 16. Otherwise, Boykin would be a high-risk WR4 for the fantasy finals.
