Patriots selected Georgia C Jared Wilson with the No. 95 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Wilson (6’3/310) paid his dues waiting for his chance to start for three years amidst a loaded Georgia offensive line group. He made the most of his chance to start last year, allowing zero sacks and just six total pressures over 475 pass reps for a solid 85th percentile pass block grade. A premium athlete, Wilson blew away the Combine with a 4.84s 40-yard dash (99th percentile), 4.56s shuttle (84th percentile) and a 32” vertical (94th percentile) for a fantastic 9.84 Relative Athletic Score. Possesses elite movement traits and a sharp get off which allows him to outposition his opponents when pulling in the run game. An Advanced pass protector who recorded a 90th percentile grade against true pass sets, Wilson is accurate with his punch and hand placement, but lacks the necessary bulk to stand up to fully formed Interior linemen at the NFL level. An athletic player who has just one year of starting experience, Wilson can be a multi-year starter if he can add functional weight.
  • North Carolina received a verbal commitment from three-star 2021 G Jared Wilson.
Wilson picked North Carolina over LSU, Florida State, Auburn, Georgia and Florida; to name a select few. he had previously been committed to Georgia, but decided to back off that pledge in February. The 6-foot-4, 325-pound offensive lineman is a three-star player on most recruiting website, but has a four-star designation from ESPN and ranks in their Top 300. North Carolina continues to crush the recruiting cycle, and 247Sports ranks their class second behind only Ohio State.

  • Uncommitted three-star 2021 G Jared Wilson announced his top eight schools.
Those schools, in no particular order: LSU, Auburn, Florida State, Clemson, Georgia, Arkansas, Florida and North Carolina. Of particular interest in those schools is the Bulldogs, as that’s the school Wilson (6'4/325) was originally committed to until he backed off that pledge in February. He’s rated the 22nd best guard in the class in the 247Sports composite rankings.
  • Three-star 2021 OL Jared Wilson announced that he has decommitted from Georgia.
Wilson pledged to the Bulldogs back in November, but he’s decided to open things up. He has offers from schools like Clemson, Florida and North Carolina; and he also said that he’s still considering Georgia, as well. There’s no word yet as to when Wilson will announce his new pledge.
  • Three-star 2021 OL Jared Wilson announced his verbal commitment to the Georgia Bulldogs on Thursday morning.
Wilson had plenty of competing offers. A North Carolina native, Wilson had offers from local Group of 5 programs like Charlotte as well as Power 5 juggernauts Clemson, but opted to head a bit south to a Georgia program known for producing nasty offensive line. The current Bulldog OL, including Andrew Thomas and Solomon Kindley, must have been a factor in swaying Wilson. At a massive 6-foot-4, 325-pounds, Wilson’s big bully-ball style of play will fit right in at Georgia.
