Saints T Jammal Brown pled innocent to domestic violence charges Wednesday.
His trial is schedule for December 4.

Profootballtalk.com reports Saints T Jammal Brown has been arrested on domestic battery charges in New Orleans.
The second-year player was moving to left tackle this season. He’s reportedly out on bond.

Browns RT Jammal Brown is taking offseason yoga classes in order to help with the healing of his lingering left hip and groin battles.
Brown is also a “regular” at Redskins Park, and the club’s offseason moves indicate they expect him back as a starter in 2012. “He’s really worked on his flexibility,” said coach Mike Shanahan. “He broke up a lot of scar tissue. He’s feeling better right now than he has over the past couple years. Hopefully he’ll get more flexibility and be able to play at a higher level.”
  • FA Guard #74
With Jammal Brown’s (hip) future with the team up in the air, the Redskins are expected to target a right tackle in free agency.
The Washington Post considers it the offense’s biggest need, ahead of a playmaking wide receiver. Post beat writer Mike Jones suggests the Skins are high on journeyman free agent Paul McQuistan, who has experience in Seattle’s zone-blocking system.
  • FA Tackle #77
Redskins RT Jammal Brown (hip) “most definitely” expects to be fully ready for OTAs later this spring.
Coach Mike Shanahan suggested after the season that Brown’s roster spot hinges on his ability to show he’s 100 percent this spring. The Redskins have hosted free agent Demetrius Bell, but they’ve yet to make a move at tackle.
  • FA Tackle #77
Coach Mike Shanahan concedes that RT Jammal Brown (groin) is unlikely to play against the Dolphins in Week 10.
Backup Sean Locklear was abused on John Beck’s blindside two weeks ago, but he’s always been better on the right side. Regardless, the Redskins’ injury-ravaged offensive line is a major concern against a suddenly surging Miami defense.
  • FA Tackle #77
Coach Mike Shanahan indicated that RT Jammal Brown’s future with the Redskins depends on his ability to return to 100 percent this offseason.
Brown has failed to recapture his pre-injury form after hip surgery in 2008. “That hip was by no means close to 100 percent this year,” said Shanahan. “So he’s going to be here throughout the offseason getting in the best shape that he can possibly get in.” Brown has no guaranteed money left on the five-year, $27.5 million contract he signed after the lockout.
  • FA Tackle #71
The Redskins may be forced to start undrafted rookie Willie Smith at right tackle in Sunday’s game against the Cowboys.
It’s a scary situation with Rex Grossman at quarterback, and DeMarcus Ware and Anthony Spencer on the other team. RT Jammal Brown hinted Friday that his groin is torn. “It ain’t really about sucking it up,” Brown said. “If you’ve got a tear, you’ve got a tear.” The Cowboys’ defense is a recommended Week 11 play.
  • FA Tackle #77
Redskins RT Jammal Brown (groin) hopes to return for at least one of the final three games of the season.
It sounds like Brown’s injury is of the week-to-week variety, leaving his status in doubt for the next two games against Jason Pierre-Paul’s Giants and Jared Allen’s Vikings. Well-traveled swinging gate Tyler Polumbus will have his hands full trying to prevent Rex Grossman’s patented sack-fumble move.
  • FA Tackle #77
Redskins RT Jammal Brown suffered a right groin injury during pre-game warmups Sunday and hobbled gingerly off the field.
The Skins were already without LT Trent Williams, so this could be a pre-game death blow for Rex Grossman’s pocket protection. Washington may be forced to turn to Tyler Polumbus at right tackle, with Sean Locklear on the left side.
