Raiders signed WR Jalin Marshall to a one-year contract.
A 2016 UDFA, Marshall was briefly a puff piece all star with the Jets, but he never caught a regular season pass, contributing only on special teams. Still only 23, Marshall’s second chance is coming after a solid showing (26/364/3) in the AAF.

ESPN Jets reporter Rich Cimini called UDFA WR Jalin Marshall a “player to watch” this summer.
Marshall received a $12,500 signing bonus from the Jets, an unusually high number for an undrafted free agent. The Ohio State alum is very much a project but his expertise on returns could lead to playing time right away. Last year, the Jets ranked 26th out of 32 teams in kick return average.

Jets WR Jalin Marshall caught 3-of-4 targets for 30 yards in Saturday’s third preseason game.
The Jets made Brandon Marshall a healthy scratch, seemingly for the purpose of giving Jalin a long look with the first-team offense. He found some space, but also made mistakes, fumbling and dropping his fourth target. He’s part of a major jumble behind Marshall and Eric Decker, though his usage tonight suggests he’s going to crack the 53-man roster.

Jets WR Jalin Marshall caught 3-of-4 targets for 45 yards in New York’s Week 2 win over the Bills.
Running as the Jets’ No. 4 receiver, the UDFA also lost a fumble. Marshall got corkscrewed a bit coming back to a Ryan Fitzpatrick pass that was thrown behind him. Marshall has a real-life role, but it’s not going to translate to fantasy value.

Jets WR Jalin Marshall (shoulder) is expected to miss multiple weeks with a torn labrum.
Marshall is the Jets’ No. 4 receiver. With Marshall out and Eric Decker (shoulder) in doubt, Quincy Enunwa and Brandon Marshall will have to carry the load at receiver. Robby Anderson and Charone Peake round out the depth chart.

Jalin Marshall caught 3-of-4 targets for 59 yards and one touchdown in the Jets’ Week 9 loss to the Dolphins.
Marshall led the team in receiving yards and scored its lone passing touchdown. In his previous three games, Marshall had caught just one pass for 11 yards as he fell to No. 4 on the depth chart. Marshall wanted to be more involved on offense and got his wish. His touchdown came on an 18-yard inside slant pattern. Marshall probably isn’t worth adding in fantasy just yet.

Jets WR Jalin Marshall (shoulder) is practicing in full for Week 6.
Marshall is set to return from his two-game absence. He could get an immediate shot as the Jets’ No. 3 receiver with Eric Decker done for the season. Robby Anderson remains in the mix behind Brandon Marshall and Quincy Enunwa.
  • FA Wide Receiver #89
Jets declared WR Jalin Marshall, QB Christian Hackenberg, CB Dexter McDougle, RB Khiry Robinson, OLB Lorenzo Mauldin, RT Breno Giacomini, and NT Steve McLendon inactive for Week 14 against the 49ers.
No big surprises in this group. The Jets are sitting down Giacomini after his bone-headed errors cost them in last Monday night’s blowout loss to the Colts.

NFL suspended Jets WR Jalin Marshall four games for violating the policy on performance-enhancing drugs.
He reportedly tested positive for Adderall. Signed as an undrafted free agent after last year’s draft, Marshall caught 14 passes for 162 yards and two touchdowns as a rookie. With Brandon Marshall gone and Eric Decker possibly following him, the sophomore likely would have had a shot to compete for a big role.

Coach Todd Bowles said suspended WR Jalin Marshall’s roster spot is now up in the air.
“He’ll get the reps early on, but obviously as a coach you understand that he’s not going to be around the first four games and (other) guys are going to get more of the reps,” Bowles said. “And you open a door and give a guy a chance to play, if he takes his spot he takes his spot.” Marshall opened last season as the No. 4 receiver but gut hurt and fell behind Robby Anderson and Charone Peake. Now that he’s banned because of PEDs, Marshall may not make the team.
