Diles, a former starter in Houston, was claimed off waivers from the Bucs in early December, recording two tackles in four games as a special teamer. Thomas battled back injuries on top of a four-game suspension last season.

Thomas, a seventh-round pick in 2009, is having a rough year. He missed the majority of camp after injuring his back, is out for the season, and has now been busted by the league.

A big guard at 6'4/323, Thomas started three years at Maryland. He’s likely ticketed for the practice squad as a rookie.

Tony Ugoh has started each of Indianapolis’ first two exhibition contests at left tackle, with Jaimie Thomas and Jeff Linkenbach rotating at left guard. The Colts’ offensive line doesn’t look to be in any better shape this year than last, particularly with Johnson showing no signs of an imminent return.

Thomas hadn’t practiced since the first week of camp due to a back injury. The former seventh-round pick appeared in one game last season and looked to be on the outs in Indianapolis. He may be released later with a settlement.
