The Packers are hopeful the New Orleans transplant can develop into a fine No. 2 QB.

The NFL Europe grad is playing well this preseason and drawing comparisons to another former Saint, Jake Delhomme. Bouman, meanwhile, has cooled off after a fast start.

In a fight for the No. 3 QB spot, O’Sullivan finished last week’s game against San Diego helping to set up Ryan Longwell’s game-winning FG. This week, Craig Nall likely will finish the game after Brett Favre and Aaron Rodgers take their turns. Neither has value behind a Hall of Famer and No. 1 draft selection.

Bruce Gradkowski (shoulder) has yet to be placed on injured reserve, but this is the latest sign that the move is coming. The journeyman O’Sullivan will be Oakland’s third quarterback behind Jason Campbell and Kyle Boller.

O’Sullivan suddenly becomes a reasonably promising prospect. The NFL Europe grad had an impressive pre-season and comes from the well-respected quarterback farm “system” that produced Marc Bulger, Jake Delhomme, and Aaron Brooks in New Orleans. We expect O’Sullivan to take the backup job from Doug Pederson once he settles in Green Bay.

O’Sullivan was released by the Packers earlier this week and reportedly turned down an offer from Detroit to sign with Chicago.

Craig Nall made the team as the third quarterback. O’ Sullivan was thought to be a decent quarterback prospect a year ago, but can’t seem to find a home.

When a team needs an experienced guy to hold a clipboard, they come calling for J.T. O’Sullivan. Formerly a promising prospect with the Saints, he’s been with the Packers and Bears over the last two seasons.

O’Sullivan is property of the Bears. He split the award with Chiefs-allocated RB Derrick Ross. DE Jason Hall (Panthers) was named defensive MVP after registering 12 sacks, including a streak of one in seven games straight. None of the above are likely to make their NFL teams out of training camp.
