Amateur Philip Knowles makes his PGA TOUR debut at the RBC Heritage in Hilton Head, South Carolina. UPDATE: Knowles missed the cut by three shots on 3-over 145 (71-74).

The University of North Florida golfer won the Players Amateur in Bluffton, South Carolina, earning a sponsor exemption. He birdied three of his final five holes to force a playoff, winning on the first extra hole. The Bradenton, Florida, native, who just finished his sophomore season, slots 80th in the World Amateur Golf Ranking and had six top-10 finishes in nine events last season for the Ospreys.
