Nicklaus gets his own lemonade drink

The names Jack Nicklaus and Arnold Palmer are synonymous with golf. Now, both of their names are on refreshing drinks.

Beverage maker Arizona introduced a new line of Jack Nicklaus-branded lemonades last week, in time for the 76th Masters.

Jack Nicklaus Golden Bear Lemonade will come in three flavors – lemonade with honey and ginseng, mango lemonade and strawberry lemonade. They will be sold in 23-ounce cans which pay tribute to Nicklaus through pictures and describing his personal and professional accomplishments.

The drinks have been rolled out in limited fashion since late March, leading to nationwide distribution later in the year.

Under the licensing agreement with Nicklaus, Arizona can create and distribute alcoholic beverages as well.

The Nicklaus line comes after a successful decade selling drinks under the Arnold Palmer name, mixing lemonade and iced tea. The Palmer drinks come in varieties with different shades of lemonade – pink and yellow – as well as flavored teas. Last fall, the company introduced an alcoholic version of the drink.
