Pumpkin Ridge to Host 06 Womens Am

FAR HILLS, N.J. - Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club near Portland, Oregon, will host the 2006 U.S. Women’s Amateur, the United States Golf Assn. has announced.

The 2006 U.S. Senior Open, also scheduled to be contested at Pumpkin Ridge from Aug. 3-6, will move to a different venue because The Tradition, a major championship on the Champions Tour, is scheduled in the Portland area close to that time.

The 2006 Women’s Amateur will take place on the Witch Hollow course from Aug. 7-13. Pumpkin Ridge has hosted several USGA events, including this year’s U.S. Women’s Open, won by Hilary Lunke.

The Women’s Amateur will be held at Kahkwa Club from Aug. 9-15, 2004, and at Ansley Golf Club from Aug. 8-14, 2005.
