In the storied history of the U.S. Junior Amateur Championship, there has never been a champion younger than Jim Liu. Liu, 14, stole the show at this years U.S. Junior Amateur Championship with his steady, dominant play. His championship run was capped off by defeating Justin Thomas 4 and 2 in the finals. In victory Liu achieved something that even Tiger Woods couldn’t accomplish - win the U.S. Junior Amateur at age 14. Golfchannel.com caught up with the newest U.S. Junior champion to learn a little more about some of his interests and accomplishments on and off the course. And like most conversations with 14-year-olds, shooting 59 at age nine was brought up.
