When you think of David Letterman, golf isn’t the first thing that comes to mind. Letterman may be from Indiana, the state that also gave us Fuzzy Zoeller, Chick Evans and Robin Hood (the woman golfer, not the man in tights), but he’s no golf guy. Fellow comedian Tom Dreesen once recounted on Facebook how he tried to teach Letterman to play. “I took him to a driving range out in Calabasas, CA and after 3 hours I said, ‘Let’s go play racquetball,’” Dreessen wrote.
Still, Letterman interviewed his share of golfers and took his share of shots at the game. In honor of Letterman’s record 33-year run as a late-night TV host, which was set to end Wednesday night, our senior digital video producer Anthony Kazmierczak put together this top-10 list of Letterman’s golf-related segments.
