Two-time U.S. Women’s Amateur champion Danielle Kang has become the second golf client at Excel Sports Management, according to the agency’s Facebook page on Friday.
Kang joins Tiger Woods as the company’s two clients in the sport. Kang left Pepperdine University to turn professional after being ruled academically ineligible following the spring season. She will make her LPGA debut at next week’s NW Arkansas Championship on a sponsor exemption.
Mark Steinberg, long-time agent to Woods, Annika Sorenstam and Steve Stricker joined the agency in July after leaving IMG. Sorenstam and Stricker remained with IMG.
Of Kang, Steinberg said, ”You don’t win back to back Amateurs without having a ton of talent. The talent level is there. She’s fearless. She’s got the ability to have the full package.”
