LOS ANGELES – The first round of the Northern Trust Open was suspended because of darkness Thursday at 5:42 p.m. local time with 14 players yet to finish their rounds.
J.B. Holmes sits highest on the leaderboard among players who were still on the course when play was halted. Holmes is at 4 under par through 16 holes. Pat Perez is at 3 under through 17 holes.
Players are scheduled to be back in position at 7:30 a.m. Friday to finish the suspended first round. The second round is set to begin as scheduled at 6:40 a.m.
