Welcome back to Weekly Fix! I’m Tim Cooke and each week on GolfChannel.com we’re taking a closer look at your swings in hopes of helping you play better golf.

This week, we’re going to analyze Jake’s golf swing.

Jake does a great job of swinging the golf club but we’re going to try to help him improve his footwork and leg action.

More specifically, we’re going to talk about knee action in the backswing, downswing and through the hitting zone, and there should be plenty that all of you can learn from this week’s video.

Popular golf instruction tips: Setup | Full Swing | Power | Accuracy

In summary, some of the ideas I would suggest that everyone take away from this week’s analysis would include the following:

• If you can have the feeling that you shallow the shaft at the start of the downswing you’ll find yourself able to attack the ball from the inside.

• On the backswing, your trail knee can remain flexed or even straighten up a bit but, but adding flex on the way back can greatly restrict your body’s ability to turn.

• On the downswing, try to feel as if you maintain some flex in your lead knee and that the lead leg straightens through the hitting zone but not before you get to impact.

That’s it for this week’s edition of Weekly Fix. Keep sending us your videos at WeeklyFix@GolfChannel.com, and we’ll be back with a new edition right here next week.
