As was discussed Wednesday in SwingFix instructor Steve Whidden’s article, one of the most important aspects of playing consistently good golf or making dramatic improvement with your game is being a strong wedge player.

Controlling your distance and spin are obviously crucial components when it comes to good wedge play, but so is controlling your trajectory.

In this video segment, six-time major champion Sir Nick Faldo explains why in addition to technique that visualization plays a significant role in wedge play, especially when it comes to envisioning the ball flight that you want to achieve with each wedge shot you hit.

Try this approach when you play and practice and you’ll learn to utilize your eyes to help knock your wedge shots close time and time again.
