Manougian Named CEO of The Golf Channel

ORLANDO, Fla. ' The Golf Channel today named David Manougian chief executive officer of the cable network. Manougian previously served as president of The Golf Channel, which is a subsidiary of Comcast Corporation (NASDAQ: CMCSA, CMCSK), the country’s leading provider of cable, entertainment and communications products and services.

David Manougian has been president of The Golf Channel for the last four years.

Since becoming president of The Golf Channel in January of 2002, Manougian has led the network through unprecedented growth. Under his leadership domestic distribution has increased 89 percent, advertising sales have doubled and more than 30 new series and original programs have launched. In a record 15-year sports television deal, he was successful in making The Golf Channel the exclusive cable home of the PGA TOUR beginning in 2007.

Daves leadership has been instrumental to The Golf Channels growth to a 70 million viewer network and the cable destination for golf programming, said Brian Roberts, chairman and CEO of Comcast Corporation. His programming and development expertise have been vital to the success of the network.

Manougian has managed several of the networks departments before becoming president. Previously, as chief operating officer he led programming, production and operations, consumer and affiliate marketing initiatives, promotional strategies, as well as The Golf Channels home video and merchandising programs.
