Gary Woodland found himself in a spot of bother at the par-4 sixth hole on Sunday at the Honda Classic. After his tee shot found water left of the fairway, Woodland took his shoes, socks and pants off - still waiting for confirmation on the order - and proceeded to hit his shot from the water. It sounded solidly struck to both our GolfChannel.com editor ears and the ears of announcers Rich Lerner and Frank Nobilo, but it wound up in the right greenside bunker. Unfazed, Woodland went on to get up and down from there for par.
And since it’s Oscars Sunday, we’ll go ahead and nominate Woodland for the Best Strip Tease category.
