Ernie Els’ second shot on the par-4 16th on Friday at Innisbrook was anything but easy, but needing a birdie to get inside the cut line, the South African decided he had to go for it, taking a viscous swing at his ball from behind a tree.
The result was a broken club, an eventual double bogey and missed cut, and this excellent piece of video:
