Hunter Mahan returned to the top 20 in the Official World Golf Ranking after his slump-busting victory Sunday at The Barclays.
Mahan moved from No. 42 to No. 19 in the world after his two-shot victory at Ridgewood Country Club. It was his first title since the 2012 Houston Open, and the sixth of his career.
Other notable OWGR movers included surprise runner-up Stuart Appleby, whose T-2 finish was enough to send him from No. 200 to No. 103. Cameron Tringale rose from No. 114 to No. 71, while Jason Day ascended two spots, to No. 7.

Rickie Fowler’s T-9 at Barclays – his fifth consecutive top 10 – jumped him from No. 13 to No. 11, ahead of Tiger Woods.
Across the pond, Jamie Donaldson won for the first time this season at the Czech Masters, a victory that secured him a spot on the European Ryder Cup team. The win in the weak field didn’t do much for the Welshman’s world ranking, however, as he moved only two spots, to No. 27.
Here is the top 10 in the world, in order, heading into the Deutsche Bank Championship: No. 1 Rory McIlroy, Adam Scott, Henrik Stenson, Sergio Garcia, Justin Rose, Jim Furyk, Day, Matt Kuchar, Bubba Watson and Phil Mickelson.
