NORTON, Mass. – Following a 70 on Day 1 at the Deutsche Bank Championship, Jason Day’s Friday became much more stressful when he left TPC Boston.
Day’s wife, Ellie, and children, Dash and Lucy, were involved in a car accident near the couple’s RV. According to a statement released by the world No. 1:
“Their car was hit by a bus and Ellie was taken to the hospital for precautionary measures.

“Thankfully everyone is now resting comfortably and Ellie has been released,” Day said in the statement. “They will all be monitored in the coming days.”
Ellie Day was hospitalized with a concussion last December after a collision with LeBron James during a Cleveland Cavaliers game.
