RIVERVIEW, Fla. -- Liz Janangelo managed just a 1-over 72 Sunday, but it was enough for her first tour win at the Greater Tampa Duramed FUTURES Classic.
Janangelo, a four-time All-American at Duke, finished at 2-over-par 215 to beat her second-round co-leader Emily Bastel and Marilyn Lovander by one stroke at Summerfield Crossings Golf Club. Janangelo collected $10,500 for her first tour title.
Lovander was one of just three players to break par in the final round. Her closing 70 moved her from a share of 11th into a tie for second. Bastel posted a 2-over 73 to end at plus-3.
Janell Howland and Audra Burks each closed with 2-over 73s to share fourth at 4-over-par 217.
Lisa Hall and Marianne Morris shared the low round of the day with 2-under 69s and were joined in sixth place by Rachel Bailey and Lynn Valentine. The quartet finished at plus-5.
