Adidas Adipure shoes emphasize flexibility

The Adipure shoe line is different from others offered by Adidas Golf in that it has a classic look that is not so overtly athletic as the other footwear entries it is selling. But company technicians say Adipure has always utilized top-of-the-line materials as well as the latest construction methods to create golf shoes that work and wear well, too.

And they add that their latest offering – the Adipure Motion – takes things to a new level with a shoe designed to increase stability with a flexibility that improves a golfer’s contact with the ground as it frees the foot and body to move in the way it was inherently meant to, from the ground to the shoulders.

“The game of golf has evolved, and quite frankly, so have the players’ swings,” says Bill Price, vice president of Adidas Golf footwear. “Our focus for Adipure Motion was to deliver that stability through enhanced flexibility and activate natural foot movement. More flexibility increases ground contact, which in turn maximizes force and ultimately equals more power.”

The new Adipure Motion weighs five ounces less than its predecessor in that line, meaning it is 23 percent lighter. It features a seven-spike, exoskeleton outsole with so-called “Puremotion” technology that is made to provide dynamic movement and ultimate flexibility.

Part of the thinking for that, Adidas Golf officials say, is that the heavy, stiff platform shoes of the past do not provide the motion, support and lightweight comfort today’s golfers crave. As a result, natural motion footwear is becoming more of a standard for touring professionals, and Adipure Motion is geared to provide premium performance, while allowing the foot to function in its most natural state.

Other features of Adipure Motion shoes include full grain, aniline leather uppers, x-pattern overlays on the heels and updated Cloudfoam insoles for comfort and cushioning.
