The Thai golfer made serene progress, ticking the fourth, fifth and seventh holes on the front nine, then the 13th on the way home, but made an error on the 18th to started Friday just two swings behind the leaders Aaron Rai, Jason Scrivener and Yusaku Miyazato. This is his 18th start in European Tour co-sanctioned events and his previous R1 best was T13. He is only 7-for-27 thus far with three top 20s, but not one in his last 14 appearances. This year he has four top sixes on the Asian Tour but not one top ten in his last seven starts.
