When scores were tallied on Monday evening there were two golfers guaranteed a spot. That was Michael Hebert and Joey Garber who both fired 7-under 63s to secure their seat. Notables to fall short included Justin Suh (66), Greyson Sigg (66), Ryan Brehm (67), Ben Martin (67), Greg Chalmers (67), Akshay Bhatia (68), to name a few. That left four golfers sitting at 64 with only two spots remaining. They ran out of daylight on Monday evening so they returned at 8:00 a.m. Tuesday to settle the score. The golfers in the 4-for-2 playoff were Brad Adamonis, Jay McLuen, Brandon Crick, and Josh Teater. It was the last two that ultimately played their way in but it wasn’t easy. Crick was the first golfer to play his way in from the playoff, circling a birdie on the third playoff hole. Teater and Adamonis would go blow for blow for seven more holes before Teater finally splashed home a 15-footer to grab a chair in the RSM Classic field. For a full play-by-play you can head over to Ryan French’s Twitter timeline, linked below. For Teater, he will be playing in his 8th RSM Classic this week with three paydays on his resume (T32/2011; T45/2017; T37/2018).
