According to SNY’s Ian Begley, the Celtics recently hosted free agent forward Glenn Robinson III for a workout.
Having last appeared in an NBA game during the 2020-21 season as a member of the Sacramento Kings, Robinson is looking to earn himself another opportunity. In addition to Boston, he has also worked out for the Warriors this summer. The Celtics are looking to round out their roster, and in addition to GRIII it’s been reported that T.J. Warren, Lamar Stevens, and Louis King have all scheduled workouts with the team. Boston only has 13 players under contract for next season, and they have five open training camp slots to work with as well.

Glenn Robinson III will participate in a workout for the Warriors, according to Michael Scotto of Hoops Hype.
GR3 has been out of the NBA for a few seasons, and he last spent time with the Kings during the 2020-21 season. If he’s able to land a contract with the Warriors, he won’t crack their rotation.
  • NBA Shooting Guard #30
The Kings will waive Glenn Robinson IIIl, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reports.
He’s been out for “personal” reasons but there was rampant speculation about him moving on from the Kings before this news hit. DaQuan Jeffries has impressed in limited minutes with the Kings and could be a full-time rotation player with this news.

  • NBA Shooting Guard #30
Glenn Robinson III (personal) is not traveling with the Kings on their current road trip.
Robinson will need to go through a six-day quarantine once he does return to the team, so it’s safe to say he’ll be missing at least the next three games for Sacramento and possibly more. DaQuan Jeffries has been more involved in the rotation with GRIII on the inactive list.

  • NBA Shooting Guard #30
Glenn Robinson III (personal) won’t play vs. Milwaukee on Sunday.
GR3 is out at the wrong time, as he could be enjoying a bigger role with Harrison Barnes missing time recently due to a strained left foot (Barnes is questionable for Sunday). Even when he’s cleared to play there’s no reason to roster Robinson outside of very deep leagues.

  • NBA Shooting Guard #30
Glenn Robinson III (right knee soreness) is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game vs. the Bucks.
After grabbing nine rebounds Thursday night, Robinson was held out of Saturday’s loss to the Bulls due to the knee pain. It’s worth noting that starters Harrison Barnes and Richaun Holmes are also listed as questionable for Sunday’s game, and their returns would limit Robinson’s fantasy potential even more. He can be left on the waiver wire.

  • NBA Shooting Guard #30
Glenn Robinson III (right knee) has been ruled out for Saturday’s game vs. the Bulls.
Robinson hasn’t been all that impactful when it comes to fantasy basketball this season, so his absence won’t have much of an impact in that regard. But his absence, along with that of Harrison Barnes, frees up additional minutes for Nemanja Bjelica. He is certainly worth streaming in all formats.

  • NBA Shooting Guard #30
Glenn Robinson (right knee) is questionable for Saturday vs. the Bulls.
He’s been playing minutes in the lower 20s lately but has offered very little fantasy value. If Harrison Barnes (foot) can’t go, maybe the Kings turn to DaQuan Jeffries after his big game vs. Miami.

  • NBA Shooting Guard #30
Glenn Robinson started on Thursday and hit 2-of-6 shots for four points, nine rebounds and a steal.
He’s made some spot starts this season but really hasn’t done much with his opportunities. Richaun Holmes and Harrison Barnes were out tonight, so Robinson should return to the bench once they’re back in action.

  • SAC Point Guard #5
De’Aaron Fox (knee) will return to the starting lineup on Sunday vs. Memphis, sending Tyrese Haliburton back to the second unit.
Joining Fox in the starting five tonight will be Buddy Hield, DaQuan Jeffries, Harrison Barnes and Richaun Holmes. Glenn Robinson III started the previous game, but he’ll be replaced by Jeffries tonight. Fox is back from a one-game absence, so he should see his usual minutes, making him a safe guy to deploy in season-long settings. Haliburton will still see quality minutes with the second unit.
