Things are going well. Which is strange considering the really poor showings by a lot of players recently. Obviously Kane and Aguero did well for me up front in the official game and they were my two forwards within Perfect XI also – A game that I am beginning to really enjoy. Of course it’s easy to enjoy games that you seem to do well at. I am currently winning my own private league by nearly 500 points, I’m sixth in the ‘Everyone’s invited’ league which I’m very happy about as I gave them a six week head start. I sit 11th in the Rotoworld league although I notice two Rotoworld writers, Nik & Neal, are within the top three and finally I reside 77th overall in the entire game which can only be a good thing!
Before I get on to my normal Poisson and Predictor sections I wanted to just add in one thing. For those of you that like to play Sky’s Super 6 game, and who wouldn’t want the chance to win £250,000 for free, I’ve created a new system on my I’m a winner website – you can find the most likely correct score predictions in my Sky Super 6 System. The most likely scores are in the left hand column, the second column holds the next most likely, and so on. If it helps to give you an idea of the likelihood of these predictions, it’s 69%, 67%, 78%, 79% & 68% respectively – not bad huh? Of course, even managers who don’t play Super 6 will find some interesting insights here. For example, there’s a 69% chance that Spurs don’t lose and that three of those likely scores involve a clean sheet for Spurs. Similarly, West Brom’s most likely correct score has them beating Villa but none of the other predictions do. Most interesting is that Sunderland/Bournemouth’s most likely score is 2-2 which suggests some good attacking points.
Predictor
The predictor this week is a completely “home happy” tool. There’s only one game (Tottenham/Palace) where it thinks that the away team has any chance. Looking through the list I find it hard to disagree with maybe the exception of West Ham at home to City. Yes, Payet transforms West Ham but points are precious at the top of the table and I think that City should at least get something for their troubles. Personally, I’ll certainly be following its top three predictions by using either Gomes, Myhill or Howard in goal this week.
Poisson
Crikey it looks like we’re in for a boring week according to the Poisson. Tottenham and Villa look like slight away favourites whereas all of the others look like low scoring home wins or draws. Everton are slightly better with the most likely score falling around the 2-0/1-0 mark but that’s hardly enough to write home about as many will already have good old Lukaku. It might be just the extra proof I need though to move Howard up to my best choice goalkeeper.
