Jeff Skinner was rostered in just 15% of Yahoo leagues a week ago when he was featured on Waiver Wired and now he is up 31%.

Noah Dobson (36%) and Valeri Nichushkin (29%) should be scooped up if they are available. Cole Caufield (29%) was mentioned in this space last week and he is worth adding as well.

Now, let’s get into this week’s recommendations:

Robert Thomas (St. Louis) - C, RW - Rostered in 27% of Yahoo leagues

Thomas has appeared on Waiver Wired before and he is worth mentioning again with the Blues set to play three times this coming week. He is tied for the 13th-most assists in the league (32) and leads his team in category. Thomas has compiled 39 points through 42 games, while collecting two goals and five helpers during a four-game point streak.

Mason Marchment (Florida) - LW - Rostered in 26% of Yahoo leagues

Marchment racked up six goals and 12 points during a four-game point streak to finish up January. He slowed down a bit to start this month, but scored his first career NHL hat trick on Friday. Marchment has provided plenty of value from Florida’s third line, while playing alongside Anton Lundell and Sam Reinhart.

Phillip Danault (Los Angeles) - C - Rostered in 21% of Yahoo leagues

Danault has a career-high 14 goals through 48 games during his first season with the Kings. He has been a solid secondary scorer for Los Angeles, while seeing most of his playing time as the team’s second-line center. Danault is up 28 points this year after he had just 24 over 53 contests with Montreal last campaign. He has four goals and one assist during a four-game point spree.

Brock Nelson (NY Islanders) - C - (NY Islanders) - Rostered in 17% of Yahoo leagues

It hasn’t been a strong offensive showing for many players on the Islanders this year, but Nelson has been more consistent than most of his teammates. He leads the team with 16 goals and ranks second with 25 points through 35 appearances. Nelson has tallied six goals and he has added six helpers in his past 14 outings. He is worth streaming during a busy week for the Islanders, as the team is scheduled to play four times.

Gustav Nyquist (Columbus) - LW, RW - Rostered in 8% of Yahoo leagues

Nyquist has been quietly piling up points for a while now as a top-six forward of the Blue Jackets. He has supplied eight goals and 12 assists in the past 21 contests. Nyquist has one power-play goal and three shorthanded markers during that span along with 35 shots on target. Columbus has four games slated for this coming week.

Kailer Yamamoto (Edmonton) - RW - Rostered in 7% of Yahoo leagues

Yamamoto made an appearance on Waiver Wired a week ago thanks in large part to Edmonton’s packed schedule and his top-six forward deployment. He has picked it up offensively of late with two goals and one assist during a three-game point streak. He has seven shots, four hits and one block over that span as well. Yamamoto shifted from playing with Leon Draisaitl to Connor McDavid, who has been red hot of late, following an injury to Jesse Puljujarvi.

Paul Stastny (Winnipeg) - C, LW - Rostered in 6% of Yahoo leagues

Stastny has been productive in bunches this season, which makes him an attractive option for Winnipeg’s four-game week. It certainly helps his appeal that he has been skating alongside Mark Scheifele and Blake Wheeler on the Jets’ top line. Stastny has one goal, one assist and 11 shots over his past three outings.

Yegor Sharangovich (New Jersey) - LW, RW - Rostered in 6% of Yahoo leagues

Sharangovich has been flying under the radar a bit because New Jersey’s schedule has been very light recently. The team doesn’t play until Thursday and only has two games scheduled for this week, but Sharangovich should be on several watch lists at the very least. He has accounted for 15 points in his last 18 appearances, including two goals and five assists during a four-game point streak.

Alexander Barabanov (San Jose) - LW, RW - Rostered in 2% of Yahoo leagues

Barabanov has contributed nine points (three goals, six assists) in 13 games since the calendar flipped to 2022. He has picked up three power-play helpers and 25 shots on target during that stretch. Barabanov, who has been playing with Timo Meier and Tomas Hertl, is coming off a three-point effort on Thursday. Skating alongside the top offensive players on the Sharks makes him another intriguing streaming option with San Jose set to play four times this coming week.

Calle Jarnkrok (Seattle) - LW, RW - Rostered in 1% of Yahoo leagues

Jarnkrok is just one of several players on the Kraken who are deserving of much more fantasy attention. He has registered eight goals and 15 points in his past 20 appearances. Jarnkrok has two goals and two assists on the power play during that time along with a whopping 43 shots on target. He has three markers and five points in five games after scoring on Saturday night.
