The Minnesota Wild took on the Seattle Kraken, and thanks to Rem Pitlick’s impressive night, they came out of that matchup with a win.

Pitlick scored his first three NHL goals consecutively to earn a hat trick and to put Minnesota up 3-0 by the end of the second period of play. Pitlick had dressed for 15 NHL games prior to this matchup, but finally found the back of the net to score his first, second and third NHL goal.

In the third period, Marcus Johansson and Alexander Wennberg scored a goal each for Seattle, but it was not enough to stage a comeback from Pitlick’s hat trick.

In net for the Wild was Cam Talbot. Talbot allowed just two goals on 30 shots to post a save percentage of .933 in this game.

On the Seattle end of the ice, Philipp Grubauer continues to struggle. He made 18 saves on 21 shots to end his night with a save percentage of .857.

BOSTON 5 NEW JERSEY 2

Erik Haula scored the first goal of the game with under three minutes remaining in the first. This goal was assisted by Anton Blidh and Karson Kuhlman. This goal was also Haula’s first of the year.

Brad Marchand put the Bruins up 2-0 with a power play goal scored 4:10 into the second. This goal was assisted by Charlie McAvoy and Patrice Bergeron.

Dawson Mercer finally got the Devils on the scoreboard with his goal, scored 4:38 into the second. Andreas Johnsson and Jesper Bratt were credited with the assists on Mercer’s goal.

Brad Marchand tallied his second of the night 6:52 into the second, just two minutes after his first goal of the game. David Pastrnak and Charlie McAvoy secured the assists on this goal.

Jesper Bratt brought New Jersey within one with a goal scored right at the end of the second. The sole assist on this goal belonged to Dawson Mercer.

10:49 into the third Patrice Bergeron scored to put Boston up 4-2. This goal was assisted by David Pastrnak and Charlie McAvoy.

Jake DeBrusk concluded scoring with his late empty-net goal, scored with 54 seconds left in the game.

Jeremy Swayman was in net for the Bruins. He allowed two goals on 29 shots to post a save percentage of .931.

For New Jersey, Jonathan Bernier made 31 saves on 35 shots to end his night with a save percentage of .886.

TORONTO 5 BUFFALO 4

David Kampf put the Maple Leafs on the board first, with a goal scored under three minutes after puck drop. The assists on this goal belonged to Alexander Kerfoot and Pierre Engvall.

Jeff Skinner tied the game up at 1-1 with his goal, scored 14:42 into the first. This goal was assisted by Colin Miller and Kyle Okposo.

In the second, Ondrej Kase put Toronto back on top with a goal scored 7:18 into the period. The assists on this goal were credited to John Tavares and Auston Matthews.

Michael Bunting put Toronto up 3-1 just over a minute later. Jake Muzzin and Jason Spezza tallied assists on this goal.

Tage Thompson brought Buffalo within one with his goal scored 17:33 into the second. Jeff Skinner notched the sole assist on this goal.

In the third, John Tavares scored a power play goal to put the Maple Leafs up 4-2. Morgan Rielly and Mitch Marner picked up assists on this score.

Jeff Skinner tallied goal number two of the night 10:47 into the third. Tage Thompson got the sole assist on Skinner’s goal.

Rasmus Dahlin tied the game up 4-4 with under ten minutes remaining in the game. Arttu Ruotsalainen and Kyle Okposo were credited with assists on this goal.

Morgan Rielly notched the game-winner with his first goal of the year, scored with 12 seconds remaining in regulation. Alexander Kerfoot got the sole assist on this goal.

Joseph Woll earned a win in his NHL debut, as he made 23 saves on 27 shots.

For Buffalo, Aaron Dell allowed five goals on 26 shots to post a save percentage of .808.

PITTSBURGH 3 OTTAWA 6

Zach Sanford gave the Senators a 1-0 lead when he scored just over five minutes into the second. This goal was assisted by Jacob Bernard-Docker and Thomas Chabot.

Michael Del Zotto then scored a power play goal just over five minutes later. This put Ottawa up 2-0. His goal was assisted by Drake Batherson and Chris Tierney.

11:07 into period two, Parker Kelly increased the Senators lead to 3-0. His goal was assisted by Logan Shaw and Lassi Thomson.

With under three minutes remaining in the second period of play, Tim Stützle notched a goal to send Ottawa to the second intermission up 4-0. His power play goal was assisted by Drake Batherson and Thomas Chabot.

9:40 into the third, Drake Batherson put Ottawa up 5-0. His goal was assisted by Tyler Ennis and Michael Del Zotto.

Kasperi Kapanen finally got the Penguins on the board with a goal scored 11:49 into the third. Mark Friedman and Evan Rodrigues tallied assists on this goal.

Evan Rodrigues scored his own goal just over a minute later. This time Kasperi Kapanen secured the sole assist.

Evan Rodrigues scored his second goal of the night 15:57 into the third to set the scored at 5-3. Kris Letang and Jake Guentzel tallied assists on his goal.

With under a minute left in the game, Drake Batherson concluded scoring with an empty-netter. This last goal was assisted by Brady Tkachuk and Josh Norris.

In net for the Penguins was Casey DeSmith. DeSmith made 18 saves on 23 shots to post a save percentage of .783.

For Ottawa, Filip Gustavsson was between the pipes. He allowed three goals on 31 shots.

MONTREAL 2 DETROIT 3 OT

Ryan Poehling opened the scoring in this game with a goal scored under five minutes after puck drop. This goal was assisted by Michael Pezzetta and Chris Wideman.

2:36 into the second, Dylan Larkin got Detroit on the board with a goal. His goal was assisted by Filip Hronek and Tyler Bertuzzi.

Pius Suter helped Detroit get their first lead with a goal scored 3:21 into the second. This goal was assisted by Robby Fabbri and Moritz Seider.

In the third, Chris Wideman tied the game up 2-2. Artturi Lehkonen and Joel Armia tallied assists on this goal.

Dylan Larkin would go on to score the game-winner 1:41 into additional minutes. The sole assist on this overtime goal was credited to Lucas Raymond.

Jake Allen played for an ice time of 19:12 before he left this game with an injury. He stopped all of the eight shots he faced during his stint. Sam Montembeault replaced him in net for the Canadiens. Montembeault allowed three goals on 25 shots.

Alex Nedeljkovic was in the Detroit crease. He made 35 saves on 37 shots to end his night with a save percentage of .946.

FLORIDA 2 TAMPA BAY 3 OT

Pat Maroon opened scoring in this game, with a power play goal that was secured 12:17 into the first. Ross Colton and Alex Killorn tallied assists on this goal.

9:02 into the second, Victor Hedman put Tampa Bay up 2-0. His goal was assisted by Boris Katchouk and Zach Bogosian.

Jonathan Huberdeau got the Panthers on the board 12:59 into the second. This goal was assisted by Aleksander Barkov and Lucas Carlsson.

Eetu Luostarinen tied the game up 2-2 with his goal scored under a minute after Huberdeau’s. The assists on this goal belonged to Aaron Ekblad and Ryan Lomberg.

Overtime would be required to decide this game, and in additional minutes it was Brayden Point who came out on top. His game-winner was assisted by Ondrej Palat.

Sergei Bobrovsky allowed three goals on 24 shots to end his night with a save percentage of .875.

For Tampa, Andrei Vasilevskiy allowed two goals on 28 shots to post a save percentage of .929.

NEW YORK 5 COLUMBUS 3

8:59 into the first, Jakub Voracek scored the opening goal on the power play to put the Blue Jackets up 1-0. Oliver Bjorkstrand and Cole Sillinger tallied assists on the goal.

17:29 into the first Artemi Panarin scored a goal to tie the game up 1-1. Adam Fox and Ryan Strome notched assists on this goal.

In the second, Eric Robinson helped Columbus regain their lead. His goal was assisted by Jake Bean and Zach Werenski.

Chris Kreider tied the game up at 2-2 with his goal scored 7:39 into the second. Jacob Trouba tallied the sole assist on this goal.

Under a minute later, Artemi Panarin gave New York their first lead of the game. Ryan Strome was credited with the sole assist on Panarin’s second goal.

Just under 30 seconds later, Jacob Trouba put the Rangers up 4-2. His goal was assisted by Barclay Goodrow and Julien Gauthier.

Chris Kreider scored his second of the night on the power play at the start of the third. His goal was assisted by Mika Zibanejad and Adam Fox.

Alexandre Texier concluded the scoring in this game 13:15 into the third. This last goal was assisted by Vladislav Gavrikov and Gavin Bayreuther.

For the Rangers, Igor Shesterkin played for 53:15. He made 31 saves on 34 shots during that time. Alexandar Georgiev played for an ice time of 6:45 and stopped the two shots he faced.

Between the Columbus pipes was Elvis Merzlikins. He made 36 saves on 41 shots to post a save percentage of .878.

LOS ANGELES 2 WINNIPEG 3 OT

Kyle Connor put the Jets up 1-0 under two minutes after puck drop. Logan Stanley and Pierre-Luc Dubois tallied assists on this goal.

Carl Grundstrom tied the game up 1-1 with his goal scored 4:02 into the first. Trevor Moore was credited with the sole assist on this goal.

14:22 into the second, Brendan Lemieux put the Kings up 2-1. His goal was assisted by Blake Lizotte and Olli Maatta.

Dylan DeMelo tied the game up 2-2 with a short-handed goal scored 12:36 into the third. His goal was assisted by Andrew Copp and Logan Stanley.

Just over 30 seconds into overtime, Mark Scheifele scored the game-winner. Nikolaj Ehlers notched the sole assist on this goal.

Cal Petersen was in net for the Kings. He allowed three goals on 23 shots.

For Winnipeg, Connor Hellebuyck was manning the crease. He made 27 saves on 29 shots to post a save percentage of .931.

ST. LOUIS 2 CAROLINA 3

Brady Skjei gave Carolina an early lead, as he scored a goal just over a minute after puck drop. His goal was assisted by Sebastian Aho and Andrei Svechnikov.

In the third, Vladimir Tarasenko tied the game up 2-2 with his goal. Ivan Barbashev and Robert Thomas notched assists on this score.

Brendan Smith scored the game-winner for Carolina with under three minutes remaining in regulation. This goal was assisted by Tony DeAngelo and Jordan Martinook.

Joel Hofer was in the crease for the Blues. He allowed three goals on 24 shots to earn a save percentage of .875.

ARIZONA 1 NASHVILLE 4

The Predators scored four consecutive goals to kick off this matchup. The goals were scored by Matt Duchene, Roman Josi (2), and Mikael Granlund. Additionally, Roman Josi and Eeli Tolvanen tallied two assists each. Matt Duchene had one assist.

The only Arizona goal was scored by Jakob Chychrun 13:30 into the third on the power play. This was his first goal of the year. Phil Kessel and Shayne Gostisbehere notched assists on this goal.

Karel Vejmelka continues to struggle this season for Arizona. He allowed four goals on 24 shots to post a save percentage of .833.

For Nashville, Juuse Saros allowed just one goal on 23 shots to barely miss a shutout.

PHILADELPHIA 2 DALLAS 5

Luke Glendening scored the first goal of the game 13:23 into the first to put the Stars up 1-0. His goal was assisted by John Klingberg and Ryan Suter.

12:22 into the second, Roope Hintz increased the Dallas lead. His goal was assisted by Denis Gurianov and Jason Robertson.

James van Riemsdyk got Philadelphia on the board 16:36 into the second.

Tyler Seguin scored 17:02 into the second to send the Stars into the second intermission up 3-1. His goal was assisted by Jacob Peterson and Andrej Sekera.

2:27 into the third, Joe Pavelski scored on the power play. His goal was assisted by Roope Hintz and Alexander Radulov.

Ivan Provorov then scored the last Flyers goal of this game on the power play. This goal was assisted by Kevin Hayes and Ryan Ellis.

Radek Faska conluded scoring in this game with an empty-netter. Luke Glendening tallied the sole assist on this final goal.

Martin Jones was in the crease for Flyers in this matchup. He allowed four goals on 30 shots.

For Dallas, Anton Khudobin made 31 saves on 33 shots to post a save percentage of .939.

Alexander Barabanov scored a power play goal 9:02 into the third to bring the Sharks within two. Tomas Hertl and Erik Karlsson notched assists on this goal.

Nico Strum scored an empty-netter to put the Wild up 4-1 14:54 into the third. His goal was assisted by Marcus Foligno.

Alexander Wennberg concluded scoring in this game with a goal scored 18:58 into the third. His goal was assisted by Jaden Schwartz and Marcus Johansson.

VANCOUVER 4 VEGAS 7

This was an incredibly high scoring game on both sides of the ice. For Vancouver, J.T. Miller, Tanner Pearson, and Nils Hoglander (2) all found the back of the net. Conor Garland, Nils Hoglander, Quinn Hughes, Tyler Myers, and Brad Hunt all tallied an assist each.

On the Golden Knights end, Evgenii Dadonov and Jonathan Marchessault scored two goals each. Brayden McNabb, Jake Leschyshyn, and Reilly Smith scored one goal each. The assists in this game for Vegas belonged to Alex Pietrangelo (2), Jake Leschyshyn, Reilly Smith, Chandler Stephenson (2), Shea Theodore (2), Dylan Coghlan, Keegan Kolesar, Mark Stone, and Evgenii Dadonov.

Robin Lehner had an impressive night, as he made 39 saves on 43 shots to end his game with a save percentage of .907.

Thatcher Demko struggled in this matchup, as he allowed seven goals on 39 shots to post a save percentage of .821.
