World No. 152 Adam Svensson front-loaded a 5-under 31-36=67 in R3 of the Rocket Mortgage Classic to reach 12-under 204, up 12 places to T9, nine in arrears of co-leaders Taylor Pendrith and Tony Finau.
The Canadian has posted laps of 69-68-67 and is in the top 10 thru 54 holes for a second time in his last three starts, joining the opposite-field Barbasol two starts ago, where he was T5 (four back) before finishing a season-best 6th (62-67-69-71). He owns three top 10s in 60 events, all this season in 28 starts, but no top 5s yet, the aforementioned solo 6th his best. At the three-quarter mark, the 28-year-old has totaled 17 birdies against three bogeys and a double, and ranks 8th SG: Tee-to-Green (7.075), including 1st SG: Approach (7.425) but 47th SG: Off-the-Tee (-0.193), and 48th SG: Putting (0.368), but did get back on the positive side after a 0.521 SGP on Saturday.
