Frenchman Romain Langasque recorded his second consecutive top-10 finish and his fifth of the season over the weekend at the DP World Tour’s BMW International Open, where he finished T-5 at17-under 271, five strokes behind playoff winner Haotong Li.
After missing the cut in three of his first five DPWT starts this season, the 27-year-old Langasque started to find his groove in March, recording a T-9 at the MyGolfLife Open and following up with a T-8 at the Steyn City Championship. Three starts later he notched his third top 10, finishing T-8 at the British Masters in May. Langasque arrived in Germany last week off a T-7 in his previous start, at the Scandinavian Mixed. Langasque, whose lone DPWT title came at the 2020 ISPS Handa Wales Open, is in the field this week at the Horizon Irish Open at Mount Juliet Estate in Kilkenny, Ireland. In three previous Irish Open appearances, he’s made one cut, finishing T-58 in 2017.
