Denmark’s Rasmus Hojgaard, ranked No. 119 in the OWGR, will make his tournament debut at the Corales Puntacana Championship, where he’ll play alongside twin brother Nicolai Hojgaard for the first time on the PGA Tour.
The 21-year-old Hojgaard is a three-time winner on the DP World Tour, where he’s made four cuts in four starts this season with a best finish of T-20 at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship in January. He’s made two PGA Tour starts this season, both in the fall series, missing the cut at the Shriners and finishing T-63 at The CJ Cup @ Summit. Hojgaard made his PGA Tour debut at the 2020 U.S. Open, where he missed the cut, but he rebounded with a T-37 in his next start at the Bermuda Championship. Also of note, Hojgaard made the cut last year at the PGA Championship (T-79) and was T-38 at the Tokyo Olympics. Last August at the European Masters, Hojgaard carded a bogey-free, 7-under 63 on Sunday to claim a one-shot victory over Bernd Wiesberger and become a three-time DPWT winner at age 20.
