“Welcome to Playing the Tips!

Each week this will be the one-stop resource to soak in all the picks from our fantasy staffers at Rotoworld.com.

Page 1 is going to look at Daily Fantasy Sports picks (FanDuel, Yahoo, and DraftKings).

Page 2 will have a look at One-and-Done options as well as PGATOUR.com’s fantasy game.

Daily Fantasy Sports [DFS]

I will be giving out selections for one team for each DFS site, per week.

These lineups will be entered into a large-entry Guaranteed Prize Pool. That means we need to take a risk or two, in order to separate ourselves from the field.

The idea is to provide you a list of names to consider. I would not recommend copying these teams, golfer for golfer. Duplicate teams are no fun and don’t help anyone.

FanDuel Picks:

Brooks Koepka (12,600): Led the field in strokes gained tee-to-green last week at Pebble Beach. Racks up birdies in bunches.

Paul Casey (11,300): Has three top 5s in four tries at River Highlands.

Jordan Spieth (11,400): It was love at first sight for Spieth and TPC River Highlands. Showing hints of a return to form so a podium finish may be just around the corner.

Sam Ryder (7,700): Back from injury at the Memorial and struck it well there. We’re getting a discount due to that layoff.

Hank Lebioda (7,600): His putter was the only thing holding him back for a while but gained strokes putting at Hamilton G&CC. That resulted in a top 15 and we could see more of that if the putter stays hot.

Ryan Moore (9,400): Has seven top 20s in 11 starts at TPC River Highlands.

DraftKings Picks -- @futureoffantasy:

Paul Casey (9500): He’s made four starts at this event with top 20s in all of them. That includes a pair of runner-up finishes.

Daniel Berger (8000): He’s won at TPC Southwind twice but he’s on the record for saying a course like River Highlands actually fits his eye better. He’s finished top 5 in two of his three trips here.

Emiliano Grillo (7,900): The putter has been holding him back but shown signs of life in that regard recently. Has gained 5+ tee-to-green in five straight.

Chez Reavie (8,400): Gained 6.7 strokes on approach last week. He’s got his irons dialed back in so let’s ride the hot hand.

Adam Hadwin (7,600): Not going to be a forgotten man but certainly overlooked this week as DJ, Brooks, and Tiger steal all the headlines. Always brings winning upside to the table and the tougher the test the better.

Patrick Reed (8500): Hasn’t been consistent but he does have three top 20s at TPC River Highlands. Made headlines with his club snap last week.

Yahoo Picks:

Brooks Koepka (49): Has sub-70 rounds in 9-of-12 rounds played at TPC River Highlands. Led the field in tee-to-green last week.

Patrick Cantlay (45): Enters with top 25s in 12 of his last 14 stroke-play events. Not even red hot. This is just his new baseline.

Bud Cauley (27): River Highlands is known to yield a low number and Cauley is one of the best at taking it low. He has six career rounds of 63 or better including one during the opening lap of the 2014 Travelers. These short courses fit his game well.

Collin Morikawa (20): Recently turned pro and he’s impressed in two pro starts (T14 at Canadian Open and T35 at U.S. Open).

Sam Ryder (23): Finished T26 in his 2018 Travelers debut.

Ryan Moore (32): A course horse at River Highlands with five top 10s in 11 tries.
