Eagles signed RB AJ Dillon, formerly of the Packers, to a one-year contract.
Earlier this week, it was announced that Dillon had been fully cleared to return to football after battling a neck injury that occurred late in 2023. The 26-year-old will now make his return to the field with the defending champions, hoping to provide some thump as a backup to Saquon Barkley. Dillon has averaged just 4.1 yards per carry in his four-year NFL career, and that number has decreased every year he’s been in the league. He’s also not much of a pass-catching option with only one season of more than 30 catches; however, he does have 18 touchdowns and could be a solid short-yardage or red-zone option when the Eagles want to give Barkley a breather.

Patriots designated RB Terrell Jennings (concussion) to return from injured reserve.
Jennings landed on injured reserve after suffering a concussion back in December. He handled short-yardage rushing duties from roughly Weeks 7-10, but burly RB Rhamondre Stevenson and rookie RB TreVeyon Henderson have seemingly established themselves as a reliable duo for head coach Mike Vrabel. Jennings is a nice backup to have active on game day, though. Jennings was limited on Wednesday.
Pearsall's return could help SF replace Kittle
Kyle Dvorchak breaks down what wide receiver Ricky Pearsall's potential return from injury could mean for the San Francisco 49ers' offense, which lost tight end George Kittle to an Achilles injury in the wild card round.
  • FA Head Coach
Jordan Schultz reports the Bucs will interview former Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel for their offensive coordinator vacancy.
McDaniel has been a busy man since being fired by Miami. He has several interviews for both head coaching and OC vacancies. McDaniel will likely be stuck with a less-than-deal head coaching job if he lands one. It could be smarter for him to rehab his image as a play-caller in a great situation before returning to a better opening as a head coach down the road. An opportunity to work with Baker Mayfield and the Bucs’ deep cast of pass-catchers would certainly allow McDaniel to prove his worth. Detroit and Philadelphia are also intriguing offensive coordinator openings for the former Miami boss.
  • NE Tight End #85
Patriots TE Hunter Henry (knee) was limited on Wednesday.
Henry dealt with a knee injury in Week 18 as well before catching 5-of-5 targets for 56 yards. We expect him to be his normal self for the Patriots’ Divisional Round game against the Texans on Sunday. Despite being 31 years old, Henry totaled a career-high 768 receiving yards this season.
  • SEA Coaching Staff
Commanders completed an interview with Seahawks DB coach and pass game coordinator Karl Scott for their defensive coordinator vacancy.
ESPN’s John Keim notes that Scott is the Commanders’ only defensive coordinator candidate lacking prior defensive coordinator experience. Scott was brought onboard in his current roles under former head coach Pete Carroll in 2022. While Scott lacks defensive coordinator experience, he has spent the last four seasons learning from two of the NFL’s most well-respected defensive minds in Carroll and current head coach Mike Macdonald.
  • BUF Kicker #15
Bills K Matt Prater (quad/calf) is practicing in full for the Divisional Round against the Broncos.
Prater was listed as a DNP for Tuesday’s walkthrough but should be good to go now. He nailed both of his field goal tries in the Wild Card Round. The Bills will continue to ease his workload with Mitch Wishnowsky handling punts in the postseason.
  • BUF Running Back #26
Ty Johnosn (ankle) did not practice Wednesday.
Johnson missed the Wild Card Round because of the ankle issue. Two DNPs to open this week suggest he will sit for at least one more game. Ray Davis didn’t touch the ball last week and Frank Gore Jr. caught his only target. Johnson’s likely absence will simply mean more snaps for James Cook.
  • BUF Tight End #86
Bills TE Dalton Kincaid (knee) was limited in Wednesday’s practice.
Kincaid was spotted in a walking boot after the Bills’ Wild Card Round win over the Jags. He has been banged up all year, and things won’t be any different in the Divisional Round. He is, however, likely to suit up after getting in a pair of limited practices so far this week. Expect another part-time role for him versus Denver. Just like last week, Kincaid will be a touchdown-or-bust fantasy bet for the Divisional Round.
  • LAC Defensive Coordinator
Ravens completed an interview with Chargers DC Jesse Minter for their head-coaching vacancy.
The Ravens have completed 10 interviews with potential head coaches and Minter, himself, is up to eight interview requests. He notably served on the Ravens’ defensive coaching staff from 2017-2020 and spent the 2022-2023 seasons with Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh at Michigan.
  • FA Head Coach
Eagles reached out to former Giants head coach Brian Daboll about interviewing for their offensive coordinator vacancy.
Daboll and former Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel are said to be “at the top” of the Eagles’ list for the position. Just yesterday, it was reported that Daboll will interview for the Titans’ head-coaching vacancy, so a lateral move remains possible for him. Signing on with an organization like the Eagles is certainly enticing, though even in a lesser role.
  • BUF Quarterback #17
Josh Allen (foot/knee/finger) is practicing in full for the Divisional Round against the Broncos.
Allen was never at any risk of missing this game, but it’s still good to see him get in a full practice this early in the week. He took a beating in the Bills’ Wild Card Round win over the Jags and was limited in yesterday’s practice. Even against a tough Denver defense, Allen will be the top fantasy quarterback for the upcoming DFS slate.
