Now serving as FOX Sports’ rules analyst, Pereira believes the repeated offsides we witnessed in the NFC Championship Game ahead of an Eagles “tush push” could spur the league to reconsider banning the play this offseason. It’s worth noting that while Pereira is no longer involved in the league’s rulemaking, he is likely aware of the discussions taking place regarding things of this nature. Speaking on Thursday, Pereira said, “I think what happened in the championship game was ugly...I think with the ugliness of that, they’ll take a further look at it.” He noted that the referees threatening to award the Eagles with a touchdown if the Commanders continued to jump offsides in the NFCCG could only add to the argument to ban the play. The league has debated whether or not there’s a place in the game for the Eagles’ signature play since they first introduced it in 2022. After surviving two off-seasons of debate, we’ll see if the latest criticism of the play results in a ban ahead of the 2025 season.

Andrews was a salary cap-related cut candidate entering the 2025 offseason, with March 15th serving as a soft deadline. Starting at 4:00 pm on Saturday, the Ravens had 24 hours to decide whether they would release him or allow his roster bonus to toll. They chose the latter option. The Athletic’s Jeff Zrebiec notes that the Ravens could still trade Andrews, if a “legit offer” came their way, but for now it appears as though the 29-year-old tight end will return for his eighth season with the team.

Jean-Charles is a former fifth-round pick who has appeared in 37 regular season games over four years. The well-traveled corner totaled 14 tackles and one interception last season with the Saints while playing on a career-high 143 defensive snaps. ESPN’s Brady Henderson believes Jean-Charles has a chance to replace corner Tre Brown, who recently left to sign with the 49ers.

Shortly after Florio wrote an article about the terms of Darnold’s contract not yet being available, Florio was back with the details from “a source with knowledge of the terms.” According to Florio, Darnold is set to earn a guaranteed $37.5 million in 2025. However, Darnold’s 2026 compensation, which is $27.5 million overall and $17.5 million in guaranteed money, doesn’t kick in until the week after the Super Bowl. This means there will be a handful of weeks after the season ends for the Seahawks to decide if the team wants to continue forward with Darnold in 2026, or be one-and-done with the former first-round pick. Darnold threw for 3,419-35-12 in his lone season with the Vikings. Now, the Seahawks and GM John Schneider hope he can provide a significant upgrade over Geno Smith, who they traded to the Raiders just over a week ago. If Darnold doesn’t live up to expectations, the Seahawks can cut bait after the season and move on without owing him any more than the money paid to him in 2025. It’s a very team friendly deal, for a team that may be right back in the QB market in 2026 if things don’t pan out.

Rivers joined the Rams as a UDFA in 2022 and has appeared in 34 games over the last three seasons. The former Fresno State Bulldog rushed 22 times for 99 scoreless yards last season, and has a career rushing line of 63-249-0. Rivers has also caught 15 passes for 85 scoreless yards, but is unlikely to have any fantasy upside while buried on the Rams’ depth chart.

Nnadi was a six-year starter for the Chiefs, but was relegated to a lightly-used backup last season. The veteran tackle started just one of the 17 games he appeared in while posting a career-low 11 tackles on 221 defensive snaps — also a career-low. He’ll be 29 at the start of next season, and could have a chance to earn a more significant role with the Jets in camp.

Rush has been a serviceable backup for the Cowboys since joining the team as a UDFA in 2017. The 31-year-old signal caller went 4-4 as a starter last season while throwing for 1844-12-5, and led the team to four 26-plus point performances on the year. Rush can earn up to $12.2 million on his new contract, and should be an immediate upgrade over Josh Johnson, who served as the Ravens’ backup last season.

Stonehouse is familiar with new Dolphins special teams coach Craig Aukerman, whom he worked with in two of his three seasons in the league with the Titans. Stonehouse led the league in yards per punt in 2022 and 2023. He suffered a season-ending knee injury in 2023 but returned to play all 17 games last season. However, it’s worth noting that he experienced career lows in yards per punt (50.6) and net yards per punt (38.3) and landed only 30.1 percent of his punts inside the opponent’s 20-yard line—also a career low. With last year’s punter, Jake Bailey, still on the roster, it’s possible Stonehouse is being brought in as camp competition for the upcoming season.

The Vikings receive Mason and the No. 187 overall pick in this year’s draft, while the 49ers get pick No. 160 in this year’s draft and a 2026 sixth-rounder. After trading for Mason, the Vikings immediately signed him to a two-year deal that includes $7 million in guaranteed money and a max value of $12 million, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Mason, who will be 26 at the start of next season, played a key role for the 49ers last season during Christian McCaffrey’s time away. Playing as a near-every down back, Mason rushed for 153-789-3 last season while also catching 11 passes for another 91 yards. Mason appeared in 12 games last season but didn’t see the field again after a Week 13 game against the Bills. This trade creates an immediate threat to Aaron Jones’ fantasy value this season, as the Vikings now have two formidable backs to swap in and out of a committee — something they said they hoped to do more of in 2025. As far as the 49ers are concerned, Isaac Guerendo immediately moves into the RB2 role behind Christian McCaffrey. Assuming the 49ers don’t add another back of note in the draft or free agency, Guerendo should be viewed as one of the top handcuffs in fantasy, especially after the strong rushing numbers he posted as a rookie (84-420-4) in limited action. Both Jones and Mason will have fantasy relevance this season, but Jones could still have the inside edge to offer more upside as the likely third-down/pass-catching back.

The Ravens retained offensive line depth in re-signing Cleveland, who appeared in 54 games in his first four seasons in Baltimore, seven of which were starts. He managed just 49 offensive snaps in 2024 while the Ravens experienced more health along their offensive line.

The veteran cornerback appeared in just eight games in 2024, with the move likely done to create cap space. The Titans can save $1.7 million against the cap while incurring $12.5 million in dead money should Awuzie be designated a pre-June 2 cut or they could save $4.2 million while incurring $10 million in dead money should they designate him a post-June 2 cut.
