Chargers listed Quentin Johnston (thigh/illness) as questionable for the AFC Wild Card Round against the Texans.
Johnston was a limited participant in two of three practices this week. If he’s active, the Chargers’ second-year receiver could see a slight increase in targets this weekend after Josh Palmer (foot) has already been ruled out. Johnston erupted for 13 catches for 186 yards in the Chargers’ Week 18 win over the Raiders and end the regular season with a line of 55-711-8.

Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that the Raiders will interview Pete Carroll for their vacant head coaching position.
The Raiders fired general manager Tom Telesco on Thursday, so that interview could take place before a new GM is put into place. Carroll completed an interview with the Bears on Thursday, and the 73-year-old appears invigored to return to the NFL after his long tenure with the Seahawks ended in 2024. The Raiders are also expected to interview Lions defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn and Chiefs defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo.
  • LAR Wide Receiver #15
Demarcus Robinson has been charged with one count of misdemeanor DUI.
The news release states that officers “observed objective signs and symptoms of alcohol impairment” from Robinson after they spotted him driving more than 100 mph on US-101 back on November 25. The 30-year-old wideout wasn’t suspended at the time, but could face discipline from the league — likely in the 2025 season — after the charge was filed.
  • DET Defensive Coordinator
Lions DC Aaron Glenn completed an interview with the Jets on Thursday.
The Jets made the announcement on social media Thursday night. Glenn turned down a chance to interview with the Patriots, and he’s also scheduled to interview with the Raiders, Jaguars and Saints in the coming days. The 52-year-old has been a big part of the Lions’ transformation into one of the best teams in football, and seems likely to get a head coaching gig in the coming years if not 2025.
  • LAR Quarterback #9
Monday’s Wild Card Game between the Vikings and Rams has been moved to Arizona.
The game is being moved to the horrific events in the Los Angeles area involving fires with the league calling it a public safety issue. The game will still take place at 8:00 ET but instead will be played in State Farm Stadium; the home of the Arizona Cardinals. It’s a disappointing development for fans of the Rams, but a necessary one.
  • MIN Running Back #33
Aaron Jones was listed as a limited participant for Thursday’s practice.
Jones getting the limited designation is likely more about maintenance for his quad injury than anything that suggests he won’t be able to play in the Wild Card Round against the Rams. It’s still something to monitor for those considering using him over the weekend.
  • KC Defensive Coordinator
Jonathan Jones of CBS reports that Chiefs defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo will interview with the Jaguars, Jets, and Raiders on Friday.
All three of the interviews will take place virtually. It’ll be a busy day for Spagnuolo, who has long been one of the best defensive coordinators in football. To say it didn’t work out as a head coach his first time around is quite the understatement as seen in a 10-38 career record, but he would be far from the first coach to fail in his first attempt only to find success. It would not be a surprise at all if Spagnuolo was leading one of those three teams by the start of the 2025 campaign.
  • FA Wide Receiver #13
    Steelers released WR Scotty Miller.
Miller did not make much of an impact with the Steelers with just five catches on nine targets for 69 yards with no touchdowns. The former Bowling Green star will likely be a depth add for a roster in 2025.
  • HOU Wide Receiver #8
John Metchie is listed as questionable for Saturday’s Wild Card Round game against the Chargers.
Metchie was able to get in a full practice Thursday, so it seems likely that the 24-year-old will be able to play against Los Angeles on Saturday. Considering the injuries to the Houston receiving corps and the possibility they’ll need to throw a lot in this game, Metchie is worth consideration for the playoff tilt.
  • DEN Running Back #28
Tyler Badie (back) was listed as a full participant for Thursday’s practice.
Badie has not played since October after suffering a back injury that caused him to collapse in October. It’s possible he’ll be active for the Wild Card game against the BIlls, but it’s unlikely he would receive many touches for that contest in Buffalo.
  • PHI Tight End #88
Dallas Goedert (knee) was a full participant in Thursday’s practice.
Goedert was able to play in the Week 18 finale against the Giants will catching four passes for 55 yards after coming off injured reserve. The 30-year-old tight end should be a safety valve for Jalen Hurts (concussion/finger) for the Wild Card round against the Packers on Sunday.
