Brenton Strange caught all four of his targets for 60 yards in the Jaguars’ Week 18 loss to the Colts.
Strange began his second NFL season as a backup and a blocker but was thrust into the starting role in Week 2 when Evan Engram suffered a hamstring injury in pre-game warmups. Strange went for 65 yards in that game and then scored a touchdown in two of his next three starts, giving him three TE1 performances before Engram returned. Strange resurfaced late in the season when Engram got hurt again, catching 11 passes for 76 yards in Week 15. Both numbers were career-highs. Strange may have done enough to push Engram for snaps in 2025, but he is unlikely to have a fantasy-relevant role heading into Week 1 of his third season.

Beat reporter Paul Kuharsky reports that the Titans have scheduled the first four of their official 30 prospect visits, including EDGE Abdul Carter, DB/WR Travis Hunter, QB Cam Ward and QB Shedeur Sanders.
The Titans now get the opportunity to go in-depth with the 2025 draft class’ top-four prospects. These valuable top-30 visits are one way for the public to parse the mixed signals that NFL front offices begin sending out at this time of the year. If an NFL team opts to host a prospect via an official visit, it suggests they are strongly considering them as draft-day targets.
  • South Carolina S Nick Emmanwori produced three positional bests at the NFL Scouting Combine on Friday.
Emmanwori’s first place finishes include a 43.0-inch vertical jump, an 11-foot, six-inch broad jump and a 1.49-second 10-yard split in the 40-yard dash. His 4.38-second overall time in the 40-yard dash ranks second. The 6-foot-3, 220-pound safety regularly lined up in the box, as a free safety and in slot coverage at South Carolina, totaling eight tackles for loss or no gain, 13 forced incompletions and 217 solo tackles in his three-year college career.
  • TEN Wide Receiver #16
Brian Callahan told reporters that Treylon Burks (knee) is unlikely to participate in the Titans’ offseason program and is uncertain as to whether Burks will be ready for training camp.
Burks suffered a surgery-worthy, partial ACL tear during a Week 7 practice and has a long road ahead in his recovery. The 2022 first-round pick has not lived up to expectations and is scheduled to enter free agency after the 2025 season. This is an unfortunate start to Burks’ contract year.
  • CLG Quarterback
The Athletic’s Vic Tafur and Tashan Reed report “the Raiders came away particularly impressed with” Alabama QB Jalen Milroe and Texas QB Quinn Ewers’ film review sessions at the NFL Scouting Combine.
Raiders GM John Spytek told reporters that film review interviews at the NFL Scouting Combine are critical in prospect evaluation, calling them “a hugely important part and may be the most important part, especially at quarterback.” With Matthew Stafford no longer available, and the Raiders’ new leadership group reportedly being tepid on the remaining veteran QB options, accurately identifying worthwhile Day 2 QB options could prove pivotal.
  • LV Running Back #3
The Athletic’s Vic Tafur and Tashan Reed report that Zamir White is “believed to be available” via trade.
Tafur and Reed perhaps generously describe White as having “had some great moments in 2023 before falling off due to scheme, vision and injuries last season.” It would be unsurprising to see the Raiders waive White after the draft but acquiring a Day 3 pick for him is technically possible.
  • LV Tight End #87
The Athletic’s Vic Tafur and Tashan Reed report that the “Raiders have had discussions with teams who have interest in tight end Michael Mayer.”
Mayer makes for an intriguing dart throw for TE-needy teams. The 2023 second-round pick missed six games due to personal reasons in 2024 but was a well-respected prospect just two years ago. With sub-$3 million salary cap hits in each of the next two seasons, Mayer profiles as a highly affordable, potential starter.
  • MIN Quarterback #14
The Athletic’s Vic Tafur and Tashan Reed report that Tom Brady and Raiders GM John Spytek “are not super high on Sam Darnold or the other potential free agent” quarterbacks.
The Raiders were reportedly ready to offer Matthew Stafford “a two-year deal for around $90 to 100 million” if Stafford wanted out of Los Angeles, and if the Rams were willing to accept a second-round pick in exchange, but Stafford chose to stay put. While Brady and Spytek obviously call the shots, it is worth noting that “there are members of the Raiders’ offensive coaching staff who prefer adding a proven veteran quarterback to taking a dice roll on a rookie quarterback.” The Raiders’ new leadership group failed to achieve its No. 1 offseason goal, securing Stafford, and must now work through their first organizational obstacle. The results of the new QB search will have a lasting impact on the current group’s tenure.
  • LAR Tackle #77
Rams signed LT Alaric Jackson to a three-year, $57 million contract extension.
ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reported a deal was in the works less than an hour ago and now the ink is dry. Jackson was set to be a free agent in a few weeks, but the Rams weren’t going to let a young left tackle hit the open market. Per FOX NFL’s Jordan Schultz, the extension includes $35 million guaranteed. Jackson took over as LA’s starting left tackle two years ago and took another step forward last year, cracking Pro Football Focus’s top 20 graded tackles. He is now under contract through 2027.
  • LAR Tackle #77
ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reports the Rams are “getting close on a long-term extension” for LT Alaric Jackson.
Jackson entered the league as a UDFA for the Rams four years ago. He took over the starting left tackle job two years ago and was tendered as a restricted free agent last offseason. Jackson earned a top-20 grade at his position from Pro Football Focus in 2024 and has gotten better in every year of his career. As expected, the Rams don’t have any intentions of letting him see the open market. Expect a deal to be announced sooner rather than later.
  • FA Quarterback #7
SNY’s Connor Hughes reports that the Giants are seeking to pair a veteran quarterback and a rookie quarterback via a trade-up to the No. 1 overall draft pick.
With Matthew Stafford no longer an option for the Giants, Hughes reports that the Giants would like to pair either Cam Ward or Shedeur Sanders with a veteran QB, listing Aaron Rodgers, Sam Darnold and Russell Wilson as the Giants’ preferred options. Former Jets coaches have reportedly given Rodgers “rave reviews” when discussing the veteran QB with Giants coaches at the NFL Scouting Combine this week.
