Kirk Cousins completed 11-of-17 passes for 112 yards, one touchdown, and one interception in the Falcons’ 15-9, Week 15 win over the Raiders.
The Falcons continue to look lost on offense but were able to largely ride a suffocating defense that held the Raiders to under 150 total yards of offense before their final two possessions. In typical Atlanta fashion, the Falcons could not close the game out while allowing the Raiders to score on their penultimate possession before getting a stop and the ball back with under two minutes to play and no timeouts. They would do enough to get into Hail Mary range with 10 seconds remaining, enough time for two looks a the end zone. The first attempt went through everyone without being touched before a Jessie Bates interception on the second. It was not the cleanest win for the Falcons but they did manage to escape Week 15 still one game back of the division-leading Buccaneers with three games left to play. Up next for Cousins and the Falcons are the struggling Giants at home in Week 16.
