Giants coach Brian Daboll said OG Jon Runyan is week-to-week with an ankle injury.
Giants beat writer Art Stapleton said following Daboll’s presser that it “sounds like [Runyan] could be done for the year.” The Giants signed Runyan to a three-year, $30 million deal this offseason to tighten up the left side of their offensive line. The fifth-year guard has started all 13 games he’s appeared in this season, earning a PFF blocking grade of 56.1 while allowing two sacks on 29 pressures. Given the nature of his injury and the fact the Giants are sitting on a 2-11 record, it wouldn’t be surprising to see the team shut Runyan down for the remainder of the season.
