McCormick out-touched Ameer Abdullah 17-2 a week after seeing just two more carries than him. McCormick had been gaining ground on the veteran heading into Week 14 and completed the takeover today. He also passed the eye test, breaking off multiple chunk gains including a long of 29 yards. Alexander Mattison and Zamir White were both out this week. Mattison appeared to be close to returning but was ruled out ahead of kickoff. If he returns, the Raiders could mix him in with McCormick, making it an ugly situation for fantasy managers. Still, this performance should earn McCormick the starting role with or without Mattison healthy.

Veteran Lucas served as the Commanders’ No. 3 tackle for the past half decade. He’s made at least four starts each of the past six seasons, reaching seven starts five times in that timespan. Going on 34, he’s an experienced depth signing for a Browns team that had no shortage of offensive line issues in 2024.

The 2021 third-rounder just wrapped up his rookie contract with something of a breakout campaign, though he’s already 27 years old. Golston notched 5.5 sacks last season after totaling just 4.5 through his first three years in the league. His 790 snaps were also close to double his previous career high. There could be more meat on the bone, but Golston is beyond the typical age of exponential improvement. He is versatile, possessing the bulk to kick insider along the interior in obvious passing situations.

Raiders head coach Pete Carroll gets his do-it-all linebacker. At 30 years old, Roberts is still a very capable run-defender and blitzer. He tallied 32 tackles, eight tackles for loss or no gain and 12 quarterback pressures last season. The latter sum is the second-best total of his career and he’s impressively finished with double-digit quarterback pressures in each of the last four seasons

The deal is worth “up to” $4.75 million. Jones is a depth signing who has just 297 snaps on offense over the past two years for the Ravens and Cardinals, though he has fairly extensive experience for a reserve. He’s a solid enough addition for an offensive line in need of a makeover.

Silver adds that Bosa would “get less than $10 million in 2025 in either scenario.” Bosa has missed multiple games due to injury in each of the last three seasons, most recently sitting out Weeks 3-7 after suffering a Week 2 hip injury. The talented 29-year-old still racked up five regular season sacks and 34 quarterback pressures; the latter being his highest sum since 2021. These offers are perhaps a tad light but Bosa may take the opportunity to lineup opposite his brother, Nick Bosa, with the 49ers, regardless.

Jones has put together a successful UDFA career, having worked his way upward, through backup roles, before taking on starting duties last season, manning the Dolphins’ left guard spot. Jones will compete for a starting role with the Cowboys, who lost stalwart RG Zack Martin to retirement this offseason.

Johnson provides depth in the secondary and reliable special teams skills. Raiders head coach Pete Carroll has long appreciated players with diverse skill sets, who can contribute in multiple facets of the game. While Johnson may not be a high-snap defensive player, he will be given a chance to contribute in his own way.

The Steelers and Giants currently appear to be the frontrunners for the veteran quarterback, although Florio reports it’s the Steelers currently in the driver’s seat. Rodgers has indicated he intends to play for two more years and the Steelers give him the best chances of doing so. They also have a more sturdy roster around him, especially after adding DK Metcalf earlier Monday. Those two aspects combine with an increased chance at the postseason in Pittsburgh to make them the likeliest landing spot for Rodgers, particularly after the team parted ways with both Russell Wilson and Justin Fields earlier in the week. There isn’t anything yet set in stone, but the two sides could reportedly reach an agreement as early as Tuesday.

The deal marks Cisco’s first season away from the Jaguars, who drafted him in the 2021 NFL draft’s third round. The 24-year-old safety has forced incompletions at a 20.0 percent rate, or better, in 3-of-4 seasons. He can be expected to compete for one of the two starting roles alongside incumbent S Tony Adams.

Murphy was poised to hit the open market come Wednesday but the team ultimately retained his services through a contract that makes his the fourth highest paid cornerback in the league. After beginning his career in Arizona, Murphy has played the last two seasons with the Vikings and brings familiarity with defensive coordinator Brian Flores’ system. Murphy and the Vikings had a rollercoaster offseason with ongoing negotiations, ultimately able to come to a meeting of the minds before the new league year begins Wednesday.
