Alec Pierce (ankle) was not spotted at Thursday’s practice.
That’s two straight DNPs for Pierce, who is officially on the wrong side of playing in Week 13 against the Patriots. Head coach Shane Steichen said on Wednesday that Pierce was “fine,” so it’s possible he will get on the practice field Friday to remove any concern about his availability, but it’s wait-and-see, for now.
  • KC Kicker #49

Chiefs elevated K Matthew Wright to the active roster for Week 13 against the Raiders.
Wright will kick in place of injured backup K Spencer Shrader (right hamstring). Wright was a reliable extra-point kicker for the Chiefs in 2022 but his leg became a little more erratic in the 30-to-49-yard field goal depths, averaging an 80.0 percent conversion rate. His abilities should be sufficient for K1 streaming viability. The Chiefs are likely to move the ball effortlessly against a Raiders defense missing its top two cornerbacks.
  • LV Defensive Back #0
Raiders placed CB Jakorian Bennett (shoulder) on injured reserve.
Bennett is eligible to return in Week 17, so there’s a chance his season is over, as the Raiders will be well out of playoff contention by that time. Bennett has earned a PFF coverage grade of 61.0 this season, but has allowed just 18 receptions for 176 and no touchdowns on 37 targets. In addition to him being out for Week 13, the Raiders will also be down Nate Hobbs (ankle), leaving them without their top two corners vs. the Chiefs.
  • LV Wide Receiver #11
Raiders WR Tre Tucker has been removed from the team’s injury report and will play in Week 13 against Chiefs.
Tucker was limited in practice all week but is good to go in the AFC West tilt. Tucker caught seven passes for 82 yards in last week’s loss to the Broncos and has averaged 5.3 targets/gm in his previous four games. Tucker’s explosive playmaking ability makes him an intriguing dart throw in deep leagues, but he’s eclipsed 50 yards just twice this season. He’s best to be avoided if possible.
  • LV Running Back #3
Zamir White (quad) will not play in the Raiders’ Week 13 game against the Chiefs.
White will miss his second-straight game with a quad injury. He was unable to get on the practice field this week but hadn’t seen much playing time before getting injured. His absence won’t have much of a fantasy impact.
  • KC Kicker #40
Chiefs ruled out K Spencer Shrader (right hamstring) for Week 13 against the Raiders.
Shrader was unable to practice at all this week, even in a limited capacity, and starting K Harrison Butker remains on injured reserve. Matthew Wright will kick for the Chiefs this week, and possibly next. Wright kicked for the Chiefs in 2022, going 15-of-15 on point-after attempts but his accuracy dipped on field goals from the 30-to-49-yard range (12-of-15). He did convert 2-of-2 from 50-plus yards though. Wright is a viable streamer for Week 13.
  • LV Running Back #22
Raiders listed Alexander Mattison (ankle) as questionable for Week 13 against the Chiefs.
Mattison was listed as a limited participant in every practice this week and now has a chance to suit up on Friday against the Chiefs. If he plays, Mattison will be the favorite to get the majority of the touches, but if he’s not able to go, Ameer Abdullah will again lead the backfield. Either way, both backs shouldn’t be view as anything more than a low-end RB3.
  • NYJ Running Back #20
Breece Hall (knee) resumed practicing on Thursday.
ESPN’s Rich Cimini reports Hall “did agility drills and did positional drills, per pool report.” This is a positive development for Hall and puts him on track to face the Seahawks in Week 13. Hall reportedly tweaked his knee in the Jets’ Week 11 game before exiting the team’s Week 12 bye with knee soreness. If this truly is a soreness issue, we must now wait to see if Hall’s knee responds positively to today’s practice participation or if he experiences a flare-up after the fact. Hopefully, Hall can manage the pain effectively.
  • NYG Quarterback #15
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports Tommy DeVito (forearm) “is not expected to play” in Week 13’s game against the Cowboys.
It was reported on Wednesday that DeVito was considered a “longshot” to play after we learned that he did not travel with the team to Dallas on Wednesday morning. Drew Lock is slated to start in DeVito’s absence, while Tim Boyle serves as his backup.
  • KC Defensive End #90
Chiefs activated DE Charles Omenihu from injured reserve.
Fox Sports’ Jordan Schultz was first with the report. The Chiefs’ star pass rusher has been working his way back from a torn ACL he suffered last season, and was on pace for a career year before his injury. Last season, Omenihu posted a career-high seven sacks in 11 games while also breaking up two passes and forcing two fumbles. His return will provide a nice boost to a defense that already ranks ninth in points allowed per game (19.8) but just 27th in total sacks (21).
  • KC Running Back #10
Chiefs activated RB Isiah Pacheco from injured reserve.
Fox Sports’ Jordan Schultz was first with the news. The Chiefs will officially have their RB1 back for Friday’s game against the Raiders, meaning Kareem Hunt’s fantasy stock will take a bit of a hit. It’s unknown just how much Pacheco will play in his return, but the Chiefs were giving him a 42 percent opportunity share in the two games he appeared in. From a fantasy perspective, it’s probably best to take a cautious approach with Pacheco out of the gate. He should still have some RB2/RB3 upside, but if you think you have safer options, don’t hesitate to play them.
