    Lions waived EDGE James Houston.
Houston had eight sacks as a rookie in 2022, but just one this year and saw his role decrease with the addition of Za’Darius Smith. He ends his Lions tenure with just 298 total defensive snaps. He should draw interest as a pass-rush specialist considering he’s only 26, but the last two years have hardly been impressive.
  • NYJ Safety #22

The Athletic’s Zack Rosenblatt and Diana Russini report that the Jets benched safety Tony Adams “at the behest of [owner Woody] Johnson.”
Asked about Adams’ benching in a presser today, interim coach Jeff Ulbrich said “I can’t be sitting here talking about things that may or may not have happened. Mr. Johnson and myself have great dialogue, consistent dialogue, we talk all the time and we have very honest conversations and I’d like to keep those conversations between the two of us.” Uh huh, that’s normal. Well, normal for the Jets anyway.
  • NO Running Back #21
Jamaal Williams (groin) is practicing on Tuesday.
Williams has not played since Week 8. His return would theoretically cut into Taysom Hill’s appeal a bit, but with just 13 carries in the six weeks before he hit injured reserve, Williams is not a must-roster in fantasy leagues at this point.
  • NO Wide Receiver #12
Saints interim coach Darren Rizzi said Chris Olave (concussion/IR) is “in a good place.”
Rizzi added that Olave has seen several specialists and has another appointment coming up soon. The earliest Olave could come off IR is in Week 15. He was seen observing practice today — the Saints are taking Thursday off — but until he practices or we hear something more firmly optimistic about this season, we wouldn’t hold out hope of Olave playing again in 2024.
  • DEN Linebacker #41
Broncos activated Drew Sanders (Achilles) from the PUP list.
Sanders tore his Achilles in an April offseason workout program. It would be surprising if he immediately joined the Broncos linebacker room and got full-time snaps, but we may see the Broncos get his feet wet and decide what they want to do with him over the next few weeks. The 2023 third-rounder started four games last year and had 13 solo tackles while posting a rough 30.0 PFF tackling grade.
  • GB Wide Receiver #87
Packers coach Matt LaFleur said Romeo Doubs remains in the league’s concussion protocol and did not practice.
Technically, this is just a walkthrough and not a practice, but LaFleur said Doubs wouldn’t have practiced if there were a practice. He did watch on the sideline. It seems extremely unlikely Doubs will clear protocol before Thursday’s game, which would elevate Dontayvion Wicks into a full-time role in Week 13. Wicks makes an intriguing FLEX play for deeper leagues.
  • PHI Linebacker #40
Eagles claimed EDGE Charles Harris off waivers from Carolina.
He’ll be help for the Eagles as they try to maintain pass-rushing depth with Brandon Graham done for the year. Harris had three sacks in 421 snaps with the Panthers this year and hasn’t had more than that since 2021’s eight. He’ll be part of the rotation on passing downs for the Eagles going forward.
  • NYG Linebacker #51
Giants placed EDGE Azeez Ojulari (toe) on injured reserve.
Now that he’s set to miss at least four weeks, it’s likely that there’s no reason the Giants will feel the need to bring Ojulari back on an expiring contract for Week 18. Assuming the toe injury isn’t more serious than publicly known, Ojulari’s second-round pedigree and seven sacks should put him on the free-agent market in 2025 as a third EDGE, with at least some chance a team would see him as more than that. The Giants look very foolish for not trading him at the deadline, but such is the way of the Giants.
  • MIN Linebacker #44
Vikings signed LB Jamin Davis off Green Bay’s practice squad.
He’ll take Ivan Pace Jr.'s spot on the roster. Davis had signed with the Green Bay practice squad about four weeks ago, and he now becomes a reclamation project for Brian Flores. The first-round pedigree certainly points to the tools being able to work in the NFL, and Flores will try to get more out of him than the Commanders did for four seasons.
  • WAS Running Back #36
Commanders signed RB Chris Rodriguez to their active roster.
That may as well be a glaring siren that at least one of Austin Ekeler (concussion) and Brian Robinson Jr. (ankle) are going to be hard to trust this week. Jeremy McNichols is the only healthy back on the Commanders roster. It’s possible that Rodriguez gets as far up the pecking order as lead committee back this week if both Ekeler and Robinson sit. He’s a potentially worthwhile waiver claim in deeper leagues.
  • WAS Kicker #3
Commanders placed K Austin Seibert (hip) on injured reserve.
He will, as always, miss at least the next four games. Zane Gonzalez will kick for the Commanders this week, though it will be his last practice-squad elevation and it is unknown if they’ll sign him to the active roster after Week 13. Seibert missed a field goal and two extra points, including one that would have tied the game, against the Cowboys in Week 12. He claimed he was healthy afterwards, but it was fairly obvious he was still struggling.
