Sincere McCormick ran five times for 33 yards in the Raiders’ Week 12 loss to the Broncos.
McCormick made the leap from the practice squad to the Raiders’ RB2 in Sunday’s loss, immediately surpassing rookie Dylan Laube in the touch distribution. McCormick’s biggest gain came on a 19-yard run, and he wasn’t targeted in the passing game. Even if Alexander Mattison (ankle) and Zamir White (quad) both miss Week 13’s game against the Chiefs, McCormick shouldn’t be counted on by fantasy managers.

Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel said Anthony Walker (hamstring) won’t miss extensive time but is unlikely to play in Week 13 against the Packers.
Walker was emotional when exiting the field in Sunday’s win over the Patriots, but it sounds like he avoided the worst with his latest injury. The veteran linebacker is at risk of missing at least one game but will have a chance to return in Week 14 against the Jets. Walker has totaled 48 tackles and one interception in his first year with the Fins.
  • NYJ Quarterback #8
Jets interim coach Jeff Ulbrich said Aaron Rodgers will absolutely start in Week 13’s game against Seattle.
Ian Rapoport reported over the weekend that it was “unclear” how banged up Rodgers is because he has “resisted getting scans done, not wanting to reveal the severity of his injuries out of fear of having to come off the field.” Ulbrich said Rogers is “healthier than he was earlier in the season” and that the idea of him skipping medical scans was “news to me.” Cool situation we’ve got going here. With the Jets continuing to self-combust, we probably don’t have to watch many more games of Rodgers, the only question at this point is when the plug will be pulled.
  • IND Guard #60
Colts C Tanor Bortolini is in the league’s concussion protocol.
Symptoms developed overnight. Danny Pinter could be the fill-in center for the Colts if Ryan Kelly is not able to come back from injured reserve for Week 13. We are running dangerously low on Bortolini license plates in the gift shop.
  • DAL Tight End #87
Cowboys EVP Stephen Jones said Jake Ferguson (concussion) is “more of a long shot” for Week 13’s game against the Giants.
Ferguson did not practice all week after getting concussed on Monday night against the Texans. On a short week, he’d need to start practicing in a hurry to be up. Cowboys lineman Zack Martin joins Ferguson as a “long shot,” while Tyler Smith has a “good chance” to play on Thursday.
  • DAL Wide Receiver #3
Cowboys EVP Stephen Jones said Brandin Cooks (knee) has “a good chance” of being able to play against the Giants in Week 13.
Cooks got in a bunch of limited tags last week so it stands to reason that he was close to playing next week. He probably won’t be a major fantasy factor outside of Thursday-only slates. He could siphon some touches away from Dallas’ other main receiving weapons if he does return, though.
  • LV Quarterback #12
Raiders coach Antonio Pierce said Aidan O’Connell (thumb) will be designated to return from injured reserve.
He’ll have 21 days to be activated, though it seems like the Raiders beat believes he has a chance to play in Week 13 against the Chiefs on Black Friday. If it isn’t O’Connell, it will be Desmond Ridder getting reps. If activated, O’Connell will nevertheless be a bad fantasy play even despite the Chiefs defense looking fairly mortal against the Panthers in Week 12.
  • HOU Safety #5
Texans DB Jalen Pitre (pectoral) is expected to miss multiple weeks.
He partially tore the pec in Week 12’s loss against the Titans. His absence put Eric Murray on to the field as a deep safety and Jimmie Ward moved up to be the main nickel for Houston. Ward caught a pick-six in Pitre’s absence, so perhaps the dropoff won’t be stark, but Murray has never been a great defender. Pitre had been having the best season of his career with a 79.5 PFF run grade in 660 defensive snaps.
  • CAR Tight End #0
Panthers coach Dave Canales said Ja’Tavion Sanders (neck) avoided serious injury in Sunday’s loss to the Chiefs.
Sanders was taken to the hospital after suffering a neck injury in Sunday’s Week 12 contest. Canales said the team is still working through their evaluation of Sanders, but the rookie tight end was in the building on Monday. It seems unlikely that Sanders would suit up in Week 13 against the Buccaneers, which would leave Tommy Tremble to serve as the team’s TE1.
  • WAS Guard #71
Commanders RT Andrew Wylie (head) is in concussion protocol.
He left Week 12’s game with the injury and did not return. Trenton Scott played in his absence. Wylie is in some danger of missing Week 13’s game against the Titans with the injury.
  • NYJ Linebacker #57
Jets LB C.J. Mosley (neck) said he’s “hopeful” of playing at some point this season.
He would not go as far as to say he’s optimistic that he’ll play in Week 13. Mosley has not played since leaving Week 8’s game and would have been on injured reserve at this point for most organizations. The fact that the Jets are letting him speak to the media suggests his return is at least somewhat close, but it’s hard to understand his timetable. It could also be argued that the Jets might be better off letting younger linebackers play and seeing what they have in a lost season.
