This is a big loss for the Cowboys’ special teams unit. Todd Archer reports “special teams coordinator John Fassel became emotional when talking about” Bell’s season-ending dislocated shoulder injury. Bell’s 85.9 PFF special teams grade not only leads all Cowboys special teams players, it ranks eighth among 138 NFL special teams players with at least 165 special teams snaps. Bell will likely be placed on injured reserve by the end of the week.

Bieniemy was the Chiefs’ offensive coordinator from 2018-2022 for the early stages of Patrick Mahomes’ career, though he was not the play-caller for the offense. He then had one-year OC stints with the Commanders and UCLA. Now, Schultz reports that Bieniemy was a “top candidate” for the Patriots’ OC job had Josh McDaniels not returned. Bieniemy is speaking to NFL teams and could return to the NFL level soon.

Moore interviewed with the Saints for a second time on Monday. He is still game-planning for the Super Bowl, so a potential hire would have to wait, but Rapoport reports Moore is in a strong position with the Saints. The Saints have also interviewed Dolphins DC Anthony Weaver and Giants OC Mike Kafka twice, while former Cowboys HC Mike McCarthy may still be in play. New Orleans is the last head coaching job available and Moore’s work with Dak Prescott when he was offensive coordinator with the Cowboys, along with his success with the Eagles this season, makes him a strong candidate to be a head coach.

Pagano was one of head coach John Harbaugh’s first hires in 2008, spending three seasons as the Ravens’ secondary coach and one as defensive coordinator. He was head coach of the Colts from 2012-2017, then spent two seasons as the Bears’ defensive coordinator before retiring. Harbaugh now brings Pagano out of retirement to reunite with him and gives Pagano the chance to coach Kyle Hamilton, Marlon Humphrey and the rest of DC Zach Orr’s improving secondary for 2025.

Caley has been with the Rams since 2023, previously spending 2015-2022 with the Patriots in multiple roles. The Texans are looking to fill their offensive coordinator position after firing Bobby Slowik and interviewed Caley, who also has interest from the Buccaneers. A new addition from the Sean McVay coaching tree, Caley would bring a new wrinkle to C.J. Stroud and the Texans offense.

Bevell is believed to be the front-runner for the position and now the Raiders officially interview him. He was new Raiders head coach Pete Carroll’s offensive coordinator in Seattle for eight seasons, winning a Super Bowl with the squad. Spending the last three seasons as the Dolphins’ quarterbacks coach, Bevell could now return to Carroll’s side. The Raiders have question marks at quarterback and much of the rest of the offense, but hiring Bevell would reunite a successful coaching group, with rumors of Russell Wilson joining Las Vegas also gaining steam. Fantasy managers should still exercise caution with the Raiders offense still needing more pieces to work.

Musgrave served as a senior offensive assistant on head coach Kevin Stefanski’s staff for the past two seasons. The Browns now move him to quarterbacks coach to work with a quarterback room that is far from finalized. Deshaun Watson is injured, and the starting spot is still in flux amidst middling quarterback play the last few seasons. Musgrave has offensive coordinator experience in both the NFL and college. He moves to try and improve the Browns’ quarterback output.

“Hopefully that’s an illuminating process for him, a different way of doing things,” Callahan said. “He’s going to be out there for two months, whatever it is, some of the footwork, the base, some of the pocket movement things that have to improve.” The Titans have not tipped their hand about the No. 1 pick, but talking about Levis improving in the present certainly indicates they at least are open to the idea of the third-year signalcaller getting a chance to compete for the quarterback job in training camp. What competition Levis will have at the position remains unsettled at this point.

“There is a feeling that by handing that responsibility back to Mike Kafka, the offensive coordinator, Daboll would be in a better position to manage the entire team, sitting in on defensive meetings and expanding his focus to make sure small details do not fall through the cracks,” Schwartz writes. Of course, Kafka is up for the Saints head coaching vacancy still, so that may be a road block for this plan. The journey of “Who is calling plays for the Giants?” is a long one under Daboll, much too long to go over in a blurb. But it’s pretty clear that the Giants were a better offense when Kafka called plays in 2022 than they were in 2024 when Daboll did. Perhaps this is something to look out for if the Saints hand their job to Kellen Moore or Mike McCarthy.

Per Rapoport, Lewis has had several requests for interviews but this is the first one he’s actually taken. Lewis interviewed for the Buccaneers offensive coordinator position in 2024, but has not been mentioned as a candidate for the role this offseason. Lewis, a former NFL backup quarterback who started five games with the Bills in 2013 and one for the Browns in 2012, came aboard in Tampa as an offensive assistant with Bruce Arians. The Duke grad also has worked as an offensive analyst for UCLA.

This was always the way the reports about Kingsbury seemed to be leaning, and he essentially decided against interviewing with the Saints and Bears during Washington’s playoff run. Kingsbury’s has revitalized his career prospects with Jayden Daniels and seems likely to be a hot coaching candidate in 2026. Of course, we would have said the same thing in Bobby Slowik’s blurb in 2025, so this isn’t without risk for Kingsbury. But ultimately, as Adam Schefter put it when asked about Kingsbury a week ago, it was very obvious that he was “not rushing to become a head coach again.”
