Browns signed OT Geron Christian off the Rams’ practice squad.
He’ll replace Dawand Jones on the active roster. Christian has been a vagabond since being drafted by Washington in 2018, playing with the Texans, Chiefs, and Browns. He was with the Titans in training camp and has gone back-and-forth between the Browns and Rams in-season. He’ll provide veteran tackle play for the Browns should Jedrick Wills remain out.

Jaguars interviewed Commanders quarterback coach Tavita Pritchard for their open offensive coordinator position.
The Jaguars are beginning to build out their staff around new head coach Liam Coen. Pritchard is a former Stanford quarterback who was also a long-time coach in various positions for the Cardinal. He spent the last two seasons as quarterbacks coach for the Commanders, including working with rookie Jayden Daniels. The Jaguars seem to believe Pritchard played a big hand in Daniels’ development and are interviewing him for offensive coordinator. If hired, Pritchard would have a chance to work with Trevor Lawrence to bring the Jaguars offense back from the brink.
  • NO Coaching Staff
Seahawks are interviewing Saints quarterbacks coach Andrew Janocko for their open quarterbacks coach position.
Janocko was the Saints’ quarterback coach last season, working with the likes of Derek Carr, Spencer Rattler, and Jake Haener through a middling 2024 season. With the Saints still searching for a head coach, ESPN’s Katherine Terrell reports they would like to keep Janocko but are allowing more coaches to interview for lateral jobs. If he does leave for Seattle, Janocko would reunite with offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak to work with Geno Smith.
  • LAR Quarterback #9
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports Rams QB Matthew Stafford “plans to play” in 2025, will likely need a new contract.
Stafford turns 37 in February but plans to play in 2025, according to Rapoport. The veteran finished the season with 3,762 passing yards, 20 touchdowns, and eight interceptions as the Rams lost in the Divisional Round of the playoffs. Though he is under contract through 2026, Stafford is slated to make a non-guaranteed $27 million next season. The Rams and Stafford will likely revisit that so he has more guaranteed money under his belt heading into year No. 17 in the NFL.
  • TB Coaching Staff
The Buccaneers blocked the Jaguars’ request to interview OL coach Kevin Carberry.
The move seemingly speaks volumes about Carberry, who helped coach one of the league’s best pass-protection units. The Bucs’ 84.0 PFF pass-blocking grade ranks second among NFL teams this season.
  • CHI Offensive Team
Bears hired former Jaguars OC Press Taylor as their pass game coordinator.
The long-time Doug Pederson understudy spent the 2013-2020 seasons with the Eagles and the 2022-2024 seasons with the Jaguars, with a 2019 Colts stint in between. The former quarterbacks coach will now help mold Caleb Williams as he enters year two.
  • NYJ Coaching Staff #31
Jets hired Broncos special teams assistant Chris Banjo as their new special teams coordinator.
Banjo is a former defensive back and core special teamer, spending 10 seasons in the NFL before joining the Broncos as a special teams assistant in 2023. He previously interviewed with the 49ers and Cowboys, but now joins new Jets head coach Aaron Glenn in New York as special teams coordinator. Glenn continues to round out his coaching staff after adding DC Steve Wilks and now Banjo to the group.
  • FA Defensive Coordinator
Josina Anderson reports that “the Raiders and Patrick Graham are working on a deal to bring him back as defensive coordinator.”
The Raiders have explored multiple options while attempting to fill Pete Carroll’s DC role but Graham’s return appears imminent. The veteran coach has held the Raiders’ DC role for each of the past three seasons. He also interviewed for the Jaguars and Bengals’ DC vacancies.
  • FA Coaching Staff
Jets hired former 49ers defensive coordinator Steve Wilks as their new defensive coordinator.
The Jets interviewed Wilks on Wednesday and agreed to terms with him to be their new defensive coordinator. He last coached in the NFL as the 49ers’ defensive coordinator in 2023, spending time with the Panthers and Browns after becoming a one-and-done head coach with the Cardinals in 2018. He was also Missouri’s defensive coordinator in 2021 and served as a volunteer advisor for Charlotte in 2024. Newly hired Jets head coach Aaron Glenn will not be calling defensive plays, so Wilks’ role will be that of a play-caller to begin his Jets tenure.
  • DAL Coaching Staff
Cowboys hired linebackers coach Dave Borgonzi, defensive line coach Aaron Whitecotton, and defensive pass-game coordinator Andre Curtis.
The Cowboys made hirings to their linebacker and defensive line groups, while adding a defensive passing game coordinator. Borgonzi worked under Eberflus as linebackers coach in Chicago, while Whitecotton was defensive line coach with the Jets for the past four seasons; both join the Cowboys in the same roles. Curtis was safeties coach under Eberflus with the Bears and now joins him in Dallas as passing game coordinator. Eberflus bolsters his defensive staff as head coach Brian Schottenheimer’s coaching group starts to take shape.
  • NYJ Offensive Lineman
Jets hired former Lions TE coach Steve Heiden for their OL coach vacancy.
Heiden has just one season of offensive line coach experience under his belt, having coached the position for the Cardinals in 2018. He coached tight ends with the Cardinals (2019-2022) and Lions (2023-2024) after that. Heiden follows new Jets head coach Aaron Glenn from Detroit to the Big Apple. NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero notes Lions pass game coordinator “Tanner Engstrand [is] the favorite to come aboard as” the Jets’ new offensive coordinator.
